Lysander's Pork Meat Rub, 3.8000-ounces (Pack of6)

I've used this seasoning for 20 or more years, and I'd be heartbroken if I couldn't get more. The seasoning adds a perfectly complimentary flavor and aroma to pork. It's hard to over-use it on a cut of pork - it seems to add an extra character to your pork chops or roasts no matter how much or little you use. It works equally well with both slow-cooking and high heat.This rub holds up over time in storage, whatever the temperature. The product doesn't deteriorate if it's reasonably wrapped up tight.

I hesitate to write this review, as now someone will discover my secret to the perfect pulled pork. I'm actually won some barbecue contest using nothing but this rub. I can make my own rub, but most of the time I just use the stuff because it's actually better than my rub in the lot easier to make. And you can keep it around for a long time as long as you store it properly. I've never seen a cake for club like some other commercial rubs. Buy it. You won't be sorry.

If you are attempting to save time or just do not have the skill to make your own rub than Lysanders is the best that money can buy. Simple enough to bring out the flavors in anything that one could place on the grill, yet strong enough to use when smoking meat without any overpowering heavy after taste.

I've used this rub for years on pork ribs and chops. Rub it on before cooking (no need to rub it ahead of time)and grill away. At a recent dinner party my 85 year old aunt said the babyback ribs were the best she'd ever had. My cooking had a little to do with it, but the rub (and the pig I suppose) were the real stars.

I bought this rub from my butcher, thinking, nyah, I'll try it. Whoa....I used it on pork chops, country ribs and back ribs as a rub. Really imparts a flavor to the meat. Add some smoke and maybe some sauce and you have a winner!Oh.....use it sparingly. This is not a drench rub!
