Harry Potter: Slytherin Deluxe Stationery Set Hardcover – August 4, 2015

This is a wonderful little stationary set, and the only complaint I have for it is that when I run out of the stationary and envelopes, I'm going to be terribly sad.The seal itself is wonderful. It is made of wood with a brass head and is not the cheap plastic "toy" seals stamps you find in other places.The imprint is clear and crisp in the wax.The journal is a nice hardbound journal type with the elastic band to keep it closed or the page marked. There is a ribbon for marking the page as well. It is lined, however, so if you are prone to drawing in them instead of writing, you will have to tolerate the lines.The set comes with 2 wax sticks for sealing purposes, however, if you want to seal things like crazy, you can get replacement sealing wax at craft stores (usually in the Wedding supplies, oddly enough) or online.The stationary is modestly sized with a smooth writing surface.The paperweight is quite hefty, and will definitely weight down fly away papers. It also doubles as a nice conversation starter for Harry Potter fans or fellow Slytherin, if you happen to have Slytherin friends mulling about.Overall I love this set. Definitely worth the price. The journal itself is $14.15 if you get it alone (at the time I reviewed this), so a little extra for the seal and goodies made it a fine investment.

During Christmas I was hesitant to buy in the set. But I decided after I put it into my cart at least 10 different times I just bought it. And it was a crazy decision. I had my friend love the gift so much. It was a great piece for her collection

The media could not be loaded. This is such a great set! Comes with everything listed in the description and the box it comes in is great too!The Journal: This is a great journal, the paper is thick and lined. The color is vibrant Slytherin green.Stationary: is slightly dull. I was hoping it would be the Slytherin green like the journal but it's a more subtle almost gray watermark instead of "in your face slytherin" green.Wax and Seal: Haven't tried the wax that comes in the kit yet but the stamp and seal look to be great quality.Paperweight: my papers haven't moved yet :DWax Stamp Tip: Rub a small amount of oil on the brass stamp before pressing it into the hot wax. This will help the stamp come away from the wax leaving a crisp impression.

I love everything about it! Came in excellent condition! Slytherin is my house and it's perfect for writing love letters or just letters in general and stamping it!

It’s a lovely set for a fellow Slytherin Harry Potter fan. The journal is sturdy, and is nice to write in. The deal stamp is made out of wood and metal. The metal piece comes off for easier cleaning. I am definitely considering getting all of the other sets just to have a complete collection. Also the box is keepable.

So I love everything about this, was bought for a friend and she loves it so much, I'll probably be getting letters from her sometime soon. The only issue I've had with all the boxes, Gryffindor and Hogwarts, is the box while made really cool and of a pretty sturdy cardboard, the lid was slightly off. While I understand this is a manufacturing thing, super annoying when you can't line the lid with box and have it close nicely. But hey it's mostly the content that people want. First impressions was awesome! This would be an AMAZING gift to give someone!You get a journal, envelopes, letter head paper, 2 wax things, a wax seal imprint and a paper weight. That is a lot! I could do without the paper weight, it isn't that heavy. After using the wax seal imprinter for the 4th time, wax started sticking in the sides of it, which pulled off from the wax seal. Not sure what I'm doing wrong?! Should I pull it off sooner?I realized how sucky it would be after I run out of paper and envelopes... then I realized, I could probably just print some letterhead on some thick paper/envelopes and be good to go again!

Fantastic set! My fiance and I are both avid Harry Potter fans, and love these sets. This set has a journal for all my cunning plots, as well as stationary, envelopes and wax seals when I need to send a formal letter to father, telling him about the injustices in the formerly fine establishment of Hogwarts.The overall quality is fantastic on these and I'd suggest this for any die hard Slytherin (or Harry Potter fan in general)
