Great Grow Lights -- Also Very Stable, Easy to Assemble, and Everything Is Included
I have several of these grow lamps of both styles -- one light head and two -- bought over a couple of years. I used these for succulents and orchids that need a LOT of light. I have tried many brands over the years, and these work best for my situation. These lights are the only ones I've found that will actually keep my high-light plants happy withOUT needing to be nearly touching the plant. Especially with the two-head model, the combined light is very bright; the light heads can be positioned a little bit above and/or away from the plant itself. Even so, broad-leafed succulents (Jade plant, etc.) develop the slight reddish/purple edges that show they are getting enough light; the foliage of high-light orchids (Dendrobium, Cattleya, Cymbidium) keep the light green color that indicates they're getting enough light -- and they keep their blooms for longer. (That said, low-light orchids like Phalaenopsis might start to show a little "sunburn"; the light may need to be positioned a bit further away from them -- or just turn off one of the light heads.)Other brands that have smaller light heads (the ones that look like wands) or use fluorescent tubes might help when used as supplemental light (adding light when there is already nearly enough), but they do not provide enough light all by themselves to keep my tropical high-light plants happy. Those other types also have to be positioned very close to the plant to keep the light intensity high enough -- speaking only for myself, when I look at an orchid in bloom I want to see mainly the plant and its flowers, not the various lights that have to be nearly touching it to keep the plant happy and blooming. We also really likes the minimalist "Scandanavian" look of these light stands. We would rather not need grow lights at all, but we do. That being the case, these are the least intrusive we have found: Once assembled, these are just one simple and thin black metal post with three plain legs at the bottom and the light head at the top. Other stands have large clips, folding mechanisms, or clamps that make them bulkier and more intrusive; these stands are just a simple black pole in the background. (That said, I do use the included twist ties to secure the power cord to the post, mostly hiding the cord behind and in the same line as the thin vertical post.) There is a tradeoff for this simplicity: You need to assemble the parts carefully and make sure all the aluminum poles and posts are fully screwed into one-another; if you don't get everything fully assembled and tight, the result will certainly be unstable and tippy. Also, the stand height can only be adjusted by adding or taking away segments; there is no continuous adjustment.I have never had any of the negative experiences other reviewers have reported: I find these to be very stable once fully and properly assembled. (Though note that these are made out of heavy-duty aluminum; it is important to make sure the threads are properly aligned and it could take some lubricant, soap, or extra elbow grease to make sure all the parts are really completely screwed tight.) The flexible neck that attaches the light head to the stand is very stiff and holds its position well. The cord is always included (one cord for each light head), and each cord has a simple toggle (on/off) switch.I also like that these lights have only a mechanical switch -- not a fancy electronic timer; that lets me attach these to my home automation system or other light timers. (Assuming the light is switched "on," the light turns on when it gets power and off when power is turned off; I don't have to manually set a separate timer for each light, every time.)Summing it all up: Highly recommended; I'm ordering another one today.

Overall excellent product with good customer service
Excellent quality lamp. It is very bright and the stand is one of the sturdiest I have seen sold for any plant light on Amazon, and is very stable on both hard floor and carpet even with the lamp configured for the tallest height. My only complaint is that the color of the light is a little pinkish because of the use of red LEDs, which is fine for growing plants but not as good for viewing them comfortably. I also think that wing nuts should be provided instead of hex nuts for securing the LED panels to the stand, but those are both minor quibbles that do not detract from a 5-star rating. The first lamp I received came with one defective optional part. When I contacted the seller they immediately sent me an entire additional lamp at no added cost and even refunded part of the purchase price for the original. I was surprised with this response since the first lamp was still fully usable without the defective part, but there's no question that ACKE went the extra mile to correct the problem and then some. Excellent customer service.

Sturdy and balanced
The legs of the base are weighted so it's well balanced and stable even tho its tall and top heavy. I have clamp on lights with the full spectrum color and they give off a whiter looking light that really rocks the colors in my room. This light is a bluer inflected light, flatter looking, but makes some trippy looking light patterns with strong reds on the lower leaves. I prefer the full spectrum lights visually, they give a lot of color and dimensionality to my room and my plants are growing. So now I'll see how this light effects my plants, if it's different.

Excellent and versatile plant lights
I purchased this to support a couple of larger tomato plants in my seed starting room until they can go in the garden. I like that the stand is height-adjustable, and that the two lights are somewhat independently adjustable. Great for taller plants like tomatoes. The price is good, the lights were easy to assemble, and have independent cords and switches for each light. I would purchase additional lights in the future if needed.

It really is an LED grow lamp!
There are some houseplants that we keep out on the deck and patio through the summer. I also have a couple of shamrocks that I really love and am determined to keep alive. I bought this standing lamp and use a two level plant bench to put all my houseplants on. After a month or so during the winter of using this lamp my shamrocks are back to blooming, my foxtail fern is putting out the larger branches and my agloanema is actually putting out a couple of flower pods per branch! Oh, and the schefflera is putting out new leaves and branches as well. Very happy with this lamp and grateful I'll be able to aptly keep my houseplants alive until the summer sun hits my windows again.

It’s okay for short term.
Will work for a few days but not a good option for a long term light. This light is not bright enough to consistently use for a season of cold weather on sun loving plants. It also gets very hot easily.

PLANTS LOVE THE LITE 😁
THE FIRST PICTURE, IS THE GARDENIA, I DISCOVERED, LIVE IN THE RADIO SHOW 550 AM, WDUN IN GEORGIA, WHEN I TALK AS TOM CHRIST, IN BOSTON. THATS WHY YOU DON'T WANT TO PUT THE LITE 2 FT, AWAY FROM SOFT TISSUE LEAFS. THE SECOND PICTURE IS THE ADVANTAGE OF THE 7O WATTS, THAT ONLY DRAWS 35! YOU CAN PUT THE LITE, OUT OF THE WAY, ON THE FAR LEFT OF THE ROOM, AND STILL HAVE A LARGE ROUND CIRCLE OF LITE, THAT COVERS A GOOD SIZE PLANT ARENA. THE THIRD PICTURE IS THE ADVANTAGE OF STAGGERED PLANT LOCATION. THE TALL FLOWERING TREE, CLOSE TO LITE, IS A MEYERS LEMON TREE. ITS LOVEING THE CLOSE TO LITE SPOT, (3FT) & BOOM FLOWERING. THE LIME TREE NEXT, IS ALSO GOOD, CLOSE. THEY ARE THICKER LEAFS, AND ENJOY BRITE LITE. I ENJOY THE SUPER FRESH LEMONADE AROMA, MY ENTIRE ROOM HAS, FROM THE LEMON TREE. I AM GOING TO HAVE THE BEST FRESH LEMON LIME RECIPES. I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE LEMON TREE, JUST FOR THE AIR AROMA AFFECT. ITS REALLY GREAT.
