My story is similar to many here. The quest for the perfect headphones enevitably led me to these and i too have been through many makes & models prior to these including the ultimate ears SFI5 Pro's. Believe me, once you have had a taste of good IEMs (In Ear Monitors, for those wondering) and the 'OMG-what have i been missing' factor they slap you with, its only a matter of time before you start looking for more.Chances are you too are on a similar quest, and perhaps you are wondering where it ends? If IEMs are even for you?. Well im here to give you the shorcut you are looking for. My quest has taken a number of years, and here is my bottom line.I dont need to tell you how awesome these sound. Reviews everywhere, not just here on amazon will tell you what you need to know on that. Having owned these IEMs for years now i am still facinated how something so tiny delivers such rich audio. But you need to know something if you are new to IEMs like these; a correct Fit is EVERYTHING, whithout a good seal in your ear they WONT work properly. I have seen a number of bad reviews because the user could not achieve a good fit or could not maintain a good seal whilst being active, dont let this be you.. IEMs dont sit in your ears like standard buds (supplied with ipod, cowon etc.), they go deeper and sit in the first stretch of your ear canals, sealing your ears from the outside world and creating a direct IEM to eardrum link. These UE Triple Fi IEMs and others like them are universal fit, in that they are designed to fit most average ear canals out of the box. To help with this they come with an assortment of rubber flanges that fit onto the end of the IEMs that you then put into your ear canals creating a seal. Many people can achieve a good seal with what is supplied in the box, others resort to thrid party bits like foam flanges that compress for easy insertion then expand to seal, double or triple rubber flanges etc. If you can achieve a good and comfortable fit with any of these (and it IS worth persevering) then congrats you have made it and you are enjoying IEMs at their best.. almost.I achieved a decent fit with smaller thrid party flanges and enjoyed the SFI5 for a couple of years. But recently I discovered remoulding. Let me tell you, if you are prepared to shell out a shiny penny, remoulding these is the way forward. What is remoulding? a process where the components in these headphones (or other IEMs if you choose) are removed and put into a custom made shell, moulded to you own ears. Its the same thing you see performing artists wear in their ears on stage, or presenters on TV etc. THIS is the ultimate. The sound of an outstanding IEM, in a custom made shell fit perfectly to your ears.Interested? read on..I used this american company [...] to remould my new UE triple Fi's. Their IEM remould service, workmanship and prices are all very good. You wont find anything like it in the UK, and i have tried. There are other american firms to consider and a popular asian firm called unique melody that provide remoulding services. However prices and the friendly pre-purchase support lead me towards inearz and i was happy with everything i recieved from them.First you need pair of IEMs to remould. There are many IEMs out there but these UE triple Fi represent fantasic value for money and are equipped with 3 drivers per ear delivering an amazingly rich spectrum of sounds to each ear. You simply cant go wrong with them. Then you need a mould of your ears. I got mine done at a local specsavers for £40. I was quoted as high as £100 from one audiologist so do shop around! insist on speaking to a specsaver audiologist, they are your best bet IMO.Then ship your IEMs and moulds to your chosen company for remoulding. In return for your persistence you will be the proud owner of your very own -just for you- Custom IEMs that house the drivers inside these UE triple Fi.I have ranted enough. For more, check out the inearz remould owner thread on HeadFi. An ever growing Bible of knowledge on all things audio awaits you on that site.[...]For now - buy these, and start your Custom IEM journey now.

Mixed Feelings
This is one of the most challenging reviews I have had to do as I have never had a product with which to have such a love hate relationship!Look and FeelFirst off, in regards to the earphones themselves these things are massive for in ears, if you have small ears just stay away. I personally have never had a problem with any earphone, even had to use large tips on some of them however the seal with The UE TF10's is not fantastic for me, had to push it right in and had my ear hurt for a few days, all for the sake of getting a proper seal.Because of the way they coil around the ear you will enjoy taking them out of your ear and inevitably putting them back in very much, especially with the comply tips, it is an absolute joy. I hope you found this joke funny because that is all it is, a joke. Make sure to set up an outlook meeting for when you plan to listen with these headphones and give yourself at least 5 minutes to prepare, and make sure to be secluded from any form of distraction that may lead you to take these things out of your ears as you will be more angry then when your baby came out your kid is Asian and neither your or your wife/loved one are!The look is not the best in the world, you will look like a young Frankenstein with stile (because of the blue colour) with these things in your ears because they stick out, at least for me they do, maybe others have great big funnels in their ears.SoundI have always been great enthusiasts of music and sound and have always tried to get a pleasant, fulfilling listening experience. Saying that I always thought I want the cleanest, clearest crispest sound experience, which is still the case, however I don't know if it my ears or if the controlled, accurate sound response of these headphones that leave me wishing for more. Some headphones are tweaked in some form or another to make certain tones lighter or heavier in order to suit a particular music type and deliver a particular listening experience. Some very simple examples if you have ever had the pleasure are the Breats by Dre and the B&O earphones, both of them have distinct sound signatures with the first being more bassy and kind of more ecowy to make the experience better for hip hop, electronic music and whatever the kids are listening to these days. The later B&O's have a very crisp sound with clarity and warmth coming through with quite allot of highs (probably due to the poor isolation and thus lack of base) but an exceptional listening experience, at least to my ears. Well these headphones have taken all that and thrown it out the window. I believe when the designers build these things they sat at the round table of super cool awesome sound and said: "Boys, we do not know what accents to add to the sounds so that people will find the listening experience more enjoyable with their average devices so we will consider that everyone has a DAC, EQ and AMP with them all of the live long day, thus being able to tweak the sound perfectly to their liking given the immense amount of time and money they must have to do all of this!". WRONG!!!! People don't have time to do this, people what to take them out of the box, stick them in they iPhone/Pod and their ears In max 10.32 seconds and then start listening to something that made them feel that they are in paradise with Akon (music) and Jessica Alba (entertainment). Ok I am getting carried away where was I. Ah yes these headphones DO need all of the equipment I previously mentioned because if you will stick it into your iPhone you will notice one of 2 things. 1. Your iPhone does not sound as good as apple would want you to believe or 2. Music which you have been listening to for ears and considered to have reasonably good quality suddenly sounds like it came straight off and beta or alfa or whatever people use to listen to a gazillion years ago! so the lessons are, make sure to only have amazing bitrate and don't forget to buy at least the most basic of headphone amplifiers otherwise you will get pissed off that your music does not sound how it should, that there is more clarity there if only you could exploit it. Anyway suffice it to say I did buy one of these amps because otherwise I would have given up on them a long time ago.For some reason the headphones (without amp) sound quite poor for the standard at low volume, only start immersing the user in music at higher volume, I noticed the same thing with the Sures. With the amp it seems to sound better at all volumes, and let me tell ya that the Fiio E6 amp I got has some EQs which at least makes your music sound like someone actually put some base in the tune (I like my bass what!).Bottom Line________________________________________________________________These headphones cannot be driven properly by regular tech.Conclusion.I hate these things but with some effort I also love them! The main problem is that after listening to them when I go back to other headphones I start noticing how many frequencies are missing and it is frustrating listening to them.So Logiteck in summary:1. Smaller headphones, more easily insertable2. Slightly more bass and maybe some reverb3. Make sure the worlds #1 player iPhone/Pod can drive them without the use of additional equipment!4. I don't intend on building a hanger out of the wire, you can make it more flexible and thinner we don't mind!Hope you enjoyed my review,

Very disappointed.....maybe faulty??
I've recently lost my pair of Super Fi 5's and was gutted, they were amazing headphones, superb quality.I saw a deal on Amazon for the 10's at a discount of £107 - too good a deal to turn down but when using them I now wonder if I've been ripped off or they are just faulty. The sound is ok if you don't put much bass through them, if you do, it distorts very quickly. I'd say these headphones are worse than standard Apple headphones. I will be sending back in the next couple of days, as they are, they are simply not worth the money, nowhere near it. I don't even know if I want a replacement set, I'm seriously considering getting a refund and either buying something else or trying to find a pair of super Fi 5's again.Very very disappointed.
