I've been helping some family to replace an old computer and set up new tech in their home. I needed this type cable to connect a monitor with a VGA port to a new computer, through the HDMI connection on a USB-C Hub. It shipped out to my family's address and arrived very quickly! In fact, given travel concerns during the pandemic, it was able to arrive to them a full two months before I got there!When first setting up the system, everything seemed great. The cable was decently packaged, felt very solidly constructed, and connected easily. More importantly, it worked. But after just about a week of very light / intermittent use, it started to fail. In less than two weeks, it was a complete dud. No reliable picture transfer whatsoever ... just static garble or a dead screen. We tested each piece of hardware and each connection, and finally determined that it was this brand new cable. Frustrating for the family and disappointing for me!But here's the thing ... when I reached out to Benefi to ask about their replacement / return / refund policy, they responded within just a matter of HOURS. And despite their being a huge time difference between us, they even apologized that it took them THAT long to reply. So very responsive! What's more, they actually took the time to read my note explaining the problem and the troubleshooting steps that I had taken.I didn't ask for anything other than to understand their policy. The response? Immediate apology for the situation and reassurance that my investment in them was protected. Full replacement and an extended 2-year warranty! They went out of their way to promise that if there's anything else I need, they'd work with me to fix it. Period. Utterly amazing. I confirmed the shipping info (again, to my family) and they wrote back that it was out the door with 2-day shipping. This ALL happened -- from my first letter to the package leaving their hands -- in less than 24 hours!! And the package that was supposed to be shipped 2-day mail arrived ... THE VERY NEXT DAY!All of this is to say that they made an amazingly good impression. I got genuine, human help and felt very good about my choice to buy from them. I don't remember the last time I found a company that stands behind its product so strongly.Also, for what it's worth (and it should be worth a lot), the replacement cable has been performing flawlessly for several weeks now, with a solid amount of use! I highly recommend.

I bought this so that I could use an old monitor (HP 2009m, which, as the name implies, is circa 2009!) with my laptop. The monitor has a 15 pin VGA connection, laptop is HDMI. I plugges in the cable and, after adjusting the display settings, everything works and looks fine. The only reason I am not giving this cable 5 stars is because the screws in the VGA connector aren't long enough to fully secure it, so I'm sure there will be times when it falls off and I'll have to plug it back in. But since the monitor serves as a convenience -- easier to read than my laptop screen, and used for home stuff, not work -- who cares? Having to re-plug a $10.00 cable once in a while is better than spending a hundred or two on a new monitor. It might stop working eventually. Who cares? At that point I can buy a new monitor or spend another $10. If you want perfection, get out of here and go buy new stuff. If you'd rather do other things with your money and time, buy this already.

VGA and SVGA are analog signals. HDMI is digital. If you are buying this cable you’re probably upgrading a monitor and have a VGA/SVGA output from your PC.You’ll most likely need a powered dongle, [VGA/SVGA] analog to digital converter.

I think the cable would have worked except it was not compatible with my display which is a HP2011x. When I connected the display to my MacBook a message was displayed on the HP saying that the signal was out of range and suggested changing the resolution. The resolution setting on the Mac was what it was suggested. Sigh...
