Best small format console, hands down!
Best purchase I have ever made for my studio. It is somewhat difficult to set up initially since it has so many features. However, once it is up and running it is an amazing peace of gear. The sound is incredible. The monitor section rivals that of my Presonus Central Station (which I now sold) and one on my Universal Audio Apollo 16 (which I feed into this console). The firmware process is cumbersome and outdated (last update was in 2011) which makes working with Logic more strategic (doesn't work with Logic right out of the box, it has to be configured). However, it works with Pro Tools 12 right out of the box with no issues. The whole build quality does not feel cheap. It feels every bit of the 5K it was originally priced at. The world of connections makes this a routing beast. I'm currently using 4 Universal Audio Apollo series interfaces with this. The routing is absolutely phenomenal. If you can get your hands on one, I highly recommend it.

Excellent console engineering
Excellent console engineering. This console integrates in my home studio perfectly, making it easier to record into the Alesis ADAT or the Protools system. Usually I record directly into ADAT then edit and mix down using Protools using the console 2802 as the main controller in both domain. This configuration maximizes my creativity. The manual provided by Focusrite is indispensable to utilize the many features of the console.I have had no negative experiences using the console 2802 but it does generate warm temperatures which, without adequate cooling the console during operation, may be reliability concern in the future.
