My old original battery was bulging, so it needs to go.So, I read the feedback and knew that I need to "prep" the battery to the best performance.When I got the battery, it was about 50% charged, so I charged it to 100% plus 2 more hours. Drained it to about 15% (when the phone prompted me to put on a charger) and did this 3 times.For now, I have turned on the phone and let it go to stand-by for 15 hours and it showed 70% charge (from 100%).If I let it played youtube continuously, it took about 3.5 hrs ~ 4 hrs to go from 100% to 15% charge.For charging, from 15% to 50% took about 40 min. to 90% took about one hour and 2 hours to 100% charge with the phone showing a green light. Also, the battery stay cold after fully charged. It did get warm after playing youtube for more than 30 min.Don't know how long it will last, but so far so good and happy with the purchase.

Wife had an S5 for 5 years. Screen cracked so bought 2 used S5s, one to replace hers and one to replace my Motorola Droid Max which experienced battery issues. These are one of the few cell phones still available that have easily replaceable batteries. Bought some "OEM Samsung" batteries but due to their age did not hold a charge well.Read great reviews on the WavyPo batteries and decided to buy a pair for our 2 phones. So impressed with construction and capacity (3800 mAh vs the OEM 2800) we just bought another 2 to use as spares in cases where we can not charge them readily. Great product. Highly recommend for those that still have the S5

so far this battery has worked fine. The one that came with my S5 only worked around 6 hours max and this one lasts several days on standby.Unsure if it will just die suddenly one day or not, since its not genuine samsung.hopefully if it does the company stands behind its product and replaces it.

My phone is pretty old; Samsung Galaxy S5 and has been doing unexpected things for some time, including unpredictable battery discharge. I thought there was an app or a virus doing it. I took the chance to replace the battery with a 3800mah which is substantially better than the OEM and am glad I did. After nearly a week of service, I have not had all those incidental "why did that happen" events. I am well pleased!

Battery label states "Please refer to manual before using battery." There was not a manual in the package. I don't know whether to charge the phone battery before use or not. Recently purchased a laptop battery and instructions stated to use battery down to 2% before charging. I charged it using the laptop battery instructions since the batteries have the same chemistry. After a little over months the battery swelled pushing out the phone display and back cover. The battery is not the High Quality as stated. It should have lasted longer.

I have no idea is it meets the 4300mAh claim, but it is much better than the old battery it replaced.

Should have trusted the previous negative reviews. As at least one reviewer noted, the battery is ever so slightly shorter than the OEM one, just enough to perhaps not have good enough contact. Went through the full charge/discharge cycle 3 times as recommended. The battery lasted 6 days from a full charge (mostly standby with a few texts) but took almost 8 hours to charge.But on the 4th charge, when the battery got down to 55% or so, the Galaxy S5 went into a constant re-boot mode and even when plugged in would not boot up. I removed the battery and put another brand battery in and everything came right up. When I placed the WavyPro back in the phone, the "battery charging icon" came on for a fraction of a second and went into the non-stop re-boot cycle. I put the other brand battery back in and everything worked perfectly. Seems like I got a lemon.

This item was purchased to replace the OEM battery in my mother in laws Galaxy S5 phone. Let me tell you, this battery is great! Upon unboxing, it had about 70% charge. Per the instructions for recharging, I had to REALLY work at getting the battery to drain to 0%. It took a day and a half of updating apps, watching videos, surfing the internet to get it to finally die. You won't be disappointed with this purchase. It's even better than the OEM battery. Doesn't get hot, lasts a long time, holds a charge. Just follow the "new battery charging" instructions and you will be happy with this battery.
