We have always enjoyed the Original Candy Land and my daughter loves anything Disney, so I wanted to surprise her with this Princess Edition. She loves it, and it's as much fun as the Original. The Cards & The Board are colorful, the board is sturdy, and the Players are made of good quality. This game provides hours of fun, and will last a long time.I was impressed that instead of a spinner, we received the Cards, just like the Original, which makes the game much more enjoyable. Children love this game as they review their colors & numbers, while having fun.The directions are as simple as the Original, and 2-4 Players can enjoy at the same time, just like the Original. Fun-filled, educational, and Good Quality. Highly recommended!

Over a year ago, my brother in law sent this to my daughter as a gift. She absolutely loves it and it's a great version of the traditional Candyland game. This is good for playing as a family or for just a parent/grandparent and child to play. My daughter loves the princess theme and the "shortcuts" available.A hint for when you're trying to play a game in a hurry- Sometimes when I shuffle, I put one of the princess cards on top for my daughter to get first to let her get further in the game faster and "win". It works well when you only have a few minutes to play!We recently purchased this to give to a friend's daughter for her birthday.

Wasn’t sure if 3.5 year old would get it. Apparently, gramma stinks at candy land and I don’t let GD cheat. She wins all the time. The Disney characters were such a hit. I wish there were six instead of 4. We love this game and gramma gets to be a princess for a change. We play at least 2 rounds every time she visits. Can’t wait for monopoly.

A vacation with a five year old is less of a vacation than it is hauling all of the child's stuff from your house to whatever hotel room you're staying in. In an effort to quell the beast that lurks within all five year olds, we brought along all her board games. This was a new one, purchased for her fifth birthday last month. She loves Disney princesses and she loves cheating at Candy Land, so this was the right gift.Immediately, she informed me that she wanted to be Belle, so I freed the princesses from their bondage of packaging. Belle looked a little...off...but all the princesses had mushy, weird faces that I found amusing. I'm sure tiny plastic faces are hard to do right, so I'm not being critical. They are handsome ladies.It's funny how the child's counting skills suddenly fly out the window and land somewhere near her understanding of whose turn it is when we play games. Sleeping Beauty was winning by a landslide thanks to a lucky card pull, which seemed to anger Belle's handler. Suddenly, she had six turns in a row, inching her way masterfully ahead of me. I gently reminded the child that it was OK to make up rules when she plays with me but her friends may not appreciate it. She rolled her eyes and drew another card.In her little mind, she won, but what really matters is that she had a blast playing. Combining Disney princesses with a classic game helped keep her happy for one summer afternoon.

We wanted to introduce our 5 year old and 3 year old daughters to board games and start a family night. We were trying to think of easy games that the girls would be excited about and remembered Candyland. Then I saw that there is a Disney Princess version. When we opened the box from Amazon, the girls were so excited. They caught on quickly although we had a few meltdowns. The three year old didn't like following her sister in the rotation and the five year old burst into tears when her daddy's princess crossed the finish line first. But, as soon as the game finished, they immediately begged us to play again. They love playing it and sometimes they even play it on their own, although, it's more of them just rifling through the deck to find the princess cards and playing with their princess dolls.The doll figurines are small but perfect for the game. The girls keep taking them with them to play and I'm just worried one day we might lose them. Just a sign of how much they love it.

I couldn't wait to start playing board games with my 4yo daughter but didn't know what game would be age appropriate. I had seen this game in shops and at friend's houses but with the name of 'candyland' I thought it was related to sweets/candy (doh me!!) and thought it was not for us. It wasn't until a friend brought out the game and watches them play, did I realize it had nothing to do with sweets!My daughter loved fact that the markers are princesses and I know some of the comments have said that the dresses spread over the squares, but we never found a problem with that. I loved the fact that my daughter could easily understand the cards (one square =1 move, two squares = move two color squares) and some cards allow the princesses to move ahead.It is my daughter's favourite game, so much so, that we went traveling abroad, it was packed in the suitcases and came out all the time!!Definitely buy for a little girl who loves Disney princesses aged 4 for a great board game!

Tengo una niña de 4 años a la que le encantó. Es muy sencillo de jugarlo y podemos pasar horas jugandolo. Lo recomiendo si tienes una niña a la que le encantan las princesas y los juegos de mesa.

Perfecto, juego de mesa fácil para niños pequeños, a mi hijo de 3 años le encanta. Las fichas son muy bonitas.

This is the 2nd time I have purchased this game as a gift. First was a big success and my first granddaughter plays it alot. The 2nd gift has arrived but has not been opened so far but I am sure my 2nd granddaughter will enjoy it as well.

My 5 year old twins can play this on their own or with others. We ignore the dragons (skip a turn) at this point but can add more challenge as they get older.
