Good as advertised. Canteen solid though one has to find a way to be ultra quiet in the woods, etc with it strapped to belt or in your pack. Funny thing. Hadnt been home in Massachusetts for a week, no less, discovered it ripped off right out of the back of the family vehicle. Put it this way....he'll get his ....some day. For now, its just the petty crap people pull, you know? SMDH here. Still, you end up HOPING the jerk is using it to good effect and not pawning it off to get whatever he has a mind to purchase elsewhere, you know? Yeah, THAT kind of gratitude folks. Gen Z or whatever. GOOD PRODUCT. Just hide it from sticky fingers and clueless brains and total lack of scruples. Come think of it, 6 pair of socks and 5 pair of underwear went missing from my closet too! Oh great. Time to get even, right? Right. LMAO.

Canteen is not what I expected from the video or the description. It is not very high quality and most definitely not “combat tested”. Being former military this is not a USGI canteen. This will work well for a child in scouts or playing soldier outside. The material it is made of is poor quality and the pouch has clips that are supposed to go on a belt but will hold the weight of the canteen when filled. Buyer beware

The cover is on the cheap side, and a tight fit. However, it gets by , and for the price is still far cheaper than genuine G.I.

Everything you expect out of a canteen.

I have an unboxing video in which I ramble a bit. I’ll try to be more concise, here.I tested two of these, and the replacement wound up being even worse than the original.Things you should know:The item is made from very thin aluminum, which means it deforms easily... like as a result of shipping.The parts do not fit together as described. I’ve done some stretching and bending since recording my video, and I can sort of get the stove to fit onto the canteen, but it will not fit around the canteen cup as directed. Trying to get it on really cut into the plastic off the canteen.Maybe really working at and bending the aluminum will deform it enough to expand, But I tend to think that the mold used to make this stove was too small and did not accommodate the shrinking of the aluminum during the casting process.I really wanted to review this favorably, and I really liked the idea of a cookset water bottle that nested perfectly for camping... but I would be afraid to rely on this piece. I think I could make something sturdier and more reliable with a 32 oz Gatorade bottle, tuna can, and a can of crushed tomatoes if I weren’t so leery of bpa and can solder. I’m certain I could get those things to nest better than this.The canteen and the canteen pouch and maybe even the cup are a serviceable enough to bring this from a one star to a two star, and are worth the cost of admission. I would replace the cup with a stainless steel model after a few camping trips, though.

It's a great canteen doesn't seem to leak, cup and stove are both alluminum and the cup doesn't leak at the rivets, only gave 5 stars because I can't fit the cup, stove, and the canteen in the canteen pouch together it doesn't fit,truth is either the stove or the cup would have to be carried in a pack and any weight put on either will bend and dent the stove and cup.
