Kraken Bass Fishing Hook Sharpener - Diamond Stone & Grooved for Fishing Hooks and Knives Black

This tool works great to re sharpen hooks. Very easy to use and the stone stores in its own handle. It is bigger than others I have used but it fits in the hand perfectly. A few of my fishing pals have tried it and love it as well. Great product, well worth the cost, get one!

Thanks to Tom Monsoor in some YouTube videos; I learned how important a sharp hook is, as well as how to sharpen them.I have a lot of experience sharpening knifes which I think made it very easy to pick up sharpening hooks.The grooves and shear size of the sharpener compared to pretty much any other on the market make it very easy to see what your are doing and have the room to do it. Some of the other hook sharpeners are so small it makes it more difficult for me to use them effectively.First impressions were great and I’m really hoping that the stone and handle last a long time. I’ll update on the longevity in time. Meanwhile I’d suggest picking this up over the smaller options out there unless you just really need the weight saving because it is a little heavy.

Tis a good quality file and the plastic is heavy duty. Ordered two but one was missing the end cap, allowing the file to slide completely out of the back. Going to super glue a piece of plastic to it, which shouldn’t need doing on something new. Minus one star.

Works well, love the portability

There was initially a packaging malfunction that caused my sharpener to fall out of the envelope during transit. Kraken bass were quick to respond and sent me another sharpener and a pair of scissors at no cost to me which is way above and beyond. Speaking directly about the product it is well built and performs as advertised (the kraken bass scissors are also a great piece of kit). Ultimately I am left a very happy customer can't go wrong with this brand.

bought this before a 4 day fishing trip. had some delivery problems, but a replacement was sent and arrived quickly.this is surprisingly well made, sturdy, and a little bulkier than i expected, which i like. it's protected when locked and easy to extend, fits easily into my bag or pocket, and can also be used to sharpen a knife, which is what i was looking for.i was hesitant to spend a bit extra money at first, had some shipping problems initially, but no regrets. easily enough tool for my needs

I got tired of not hooking the fish good enough when I was frog fishing for bass. And thinking my hooks were sharp enough. But after using this on the tournament this weekend a quick couple swipes with this sharpener on my hook and it was so sharp you couldn't touch it it would grab you and I hooked the fish and they did not just come off. I highly recommend this hook sharpener it's quick easy and slips in your pocket like a pen I keep it in my life preserver on my kayak

I might have received a dud, but the grit is very inconsistent and has several areas with irregularities that would quickly damage a fine point if not careful to avoid them.
