I am fairly sensitive to caffeine. I can’t drink anything with more than 25mg of caffeine after 4pm if I want to be able to sleep when bed time comes around. Most energy drinks make me shaky and then I crash when it wears off. I have been drinking Zest tea everyday for a few months. I keeps me awake better than coffee. It doesn’t make me shaky or nervous. It doesn’t mess with my stomach. It also doesn’t make me crash after a few hours. My favorite flavors are Blue Lady and Apple Cinnamon. So good!

After trying this tea, I've seriously decided to never drink highly caffeinated drinks again.. at least for a while. First of all, I know caffeine doesn't exactly work WITH our bodies to help give us organic and lasting energy, and it can either give you headaches or rebound headaches. There are many reasons why people love caffeine but there are also reasons why it drains our minds and bodies... This caffeinated tea made me so sleepy that I couldn't keep my eyes open!My health situation is not typical, but I'm always looking for natural ways to enhance my cognition, energy, and general wellbeing.I deal with chronic fatigue and chronic pain, and caffeine is actually very counterintuitive in terms of addressing those important issues. But I chose to ignore that glaring fact this time.When I saw this Blue Lady Energy Tea by Zest Tea, I was enticed. I went back to look at it a few times before taking the leap.I was hopeful, and I was also being lazy by imagining that more caffeine would be somehow helpful to me. I love tea and herbal tea in particular, so I thought that at the least, I'd enjoy the taste and experience of drinking this one.I opened the bag.. and whoosh. This indescribably rich, super sweet, fruity scent filled my nostrils and my eyes widened immediately. Whoa. This tea smells incredible and full of zest. As i continued inhaling the potent aroma with my nose in the bag, I began to feel a little lightheaded and actually got a headache.This tea is extreeeemely aromatic and sweet, which made me a bit uncomfortable, because I tend to look for the most natural products I can. And this intense scent didn't seem all that natural to me, despite the fact that there are actually natural ingredients in here.I sometimes get specific headaches from strong smells, like chemical perfumes or cleaning products. This tea definitely smelled great, and mouth watering, but it was a little too great in my opinion. Since I've begun cutting down on sugar more and more, I really notice the super sweet things.Although it may sound weird, this tea made me super drowsy and sleepy. I'm not just blaming the tea, I think it's just due to the high caffeine content. The caffeine just didn't jibe well with my system, which has happened before.It did taste good, although once again it almost tasted too good to be true. I don't know what all of the "natural flavors" consist of, but wow it packs a punch.I believe most people will enjoy this tea, but the thing that kept bugging me was the glue. There is a small oval shaped spot of glue that attaches the square paper on the end of the string to the actual teabag.All the teabags are loose in the larger, resealable blue bag. So it makes sense to not get the strings all tangled up. But it also means I'm drinking a small smount of adhesive... and the paper part easily falls into my mug... which has more gluey stuff on it. It's not like a big gluey clump or anything big. I think most people wouldn't care too much about it.But because of my health issues, I really don't care for ingesting even small amounts of weird, synthetic ingredients like glue. It's probably not going to harm me too much, but I just can't help being very conscious about it every time I sip the tea or detach the paper from the bag.I can SEE the subtle oval glue marks.If you're looking for a caffeine high without having to drink coffee, and you like sweet, bold tasting teas, this one is definitely all that. The floral, super fruity, lively smell is so intoxicating that it gave me a headache, and the taste is definitely delicious, but it put me to sleep in an uncomfortable way. My body just felt weird from drinking it.So you can see why it wasn't the best choice for me. But it may work fine for you. It could become your new favorite tea, although I generally prefer the much cheaper bulk tea leaves.Whatever you decide, if you do get this, I still hope you enjoy it. ♡Update: I've grown to like this tea. Its fragrance and strong floral taste is hard to avoid. Early in the day, when I lack energy, I usually avoid too much caffeine simply because a crash is too much for me.. but I've gotten used to this tea and its zippinessn and I don't mind it anymore. I take L-theanine and Ashwagandha and other very grounding supplements that work synergistically with this delicious tea.

I've been drinking this stuff off and on for a year now. The flavor and caffeine levels are perfect for super-charging my mornings with two small kids while working from home. There's hardly any crash that I can notice and I enjoy the added focus to my morning routine after a cup of the Blue Lady. Give it a shot if you're looking to try a healthier option for your morning rituals! The Mint Mojito is also a personal favorite that doesn't have nearly as much caffeine as the blue lady.

Weaning myself off caffeine in sodas and other unhealthy means this really was a great option. I’d leave it to brew and have as an iced tea most times topped off with lime juice. Very tasty!

Great taste no caffeine jitters

I have been purchasing this tea in a couple of different flavors for my husband and he loves the tea, but recently we have been getting bags with no string! This makes it very difficult to steep the bag which then causes the tea to not be very strong.If this is a change that Zest has done along with their new design, I would suggest going back to add the string. This tea is not cheap. Zest should not skimp out on putting a string. Very frustrating.The tea is really good, but without the string, we may buy somewhere else.

The taste is great, the up you get from the caffeine is always nice. But the affordability of the product is the reason I won't review this higher.

Teabags good, mesh triangles with string so they diffuse well; and are compostable. Outer packaging is terrific too as it can be zipped shut to maintain freshness with out all the excess packaging of individual wrappers--plus cardboard boxes always arrived smashed up.

Wow! This tea sure packs a punch. They really mean it when they say high caffeine. It may be too much for me! But it's tasty and the packaging is really nice. I just don't steep it for the full time! Good value, too, thank you.

I decided to try this so I could get the caffeine I need without the acidity of coffee, and I love it! It tastes great and really helps me wake up and focus on whatever I need to.
