Best reasonably priced option and very effective if your priority is visibility in darkness
This has been my daily wear watch since I bought it in March 2014 and, after two and a half years, I highly recommend it.I paid about $55 for this watch, which was a steal; it seems to sell now for about $70, which is still fair.If your main priority is excellent visibility in darkness, this is the best available value I have seen. I am often in theaters where momentarily turning on an electro-luminescent (EL) panel on a digital watch would be distracting or even annoying to the actors on stage, and the tritium hands and dial markers on this watch provide the perfect unobtrusive solution. It's also bright enough to read while driving at night without having to take a hand off the steering wheel to operate the watch. The quartz movement keeps extremely accurate time within a few seconds per month. It looks like a cheap plastic watch, which can be good or bad depending upon circumstances. In fact, except for the tritium hands and dial markers, it *is* a cheap plastic watch. It's good when you don't want to draw attention to yourself or seem ostentatious, especially as a target for mugging or robbery. It's bad when you dress better than casually as it seems incongruous with a suit and tie.I've owned significantly more expensive watches with tritium hands and dial markers, including market leader Luminox, and this watch is comparable in visibility and function if not cosmetic appearance. It's slightly less bright than a $300 watch and only the 3, 6, 9, and 12 dial markers have tritium illumination, but for under $100 it's an excellent value. The nomenclature is fairly obvious: The 001-N has a nylon strap, the 001-R has a rubber strap, the 001-M has a metal bracelet, and so on. The nylon strap has proven highly durable. The hook-and-loop closure is still working well. My preference is for the nylon rather than rubber strap, and it is about $10 cheaper, too. The watch uses conventional pins, so any ordinary band of correct width could be fitted. After about 18 months, the battery needed replacement. I could find no documentation about what kind of battery it needed, so I finally just opened the watch and looked: it wasn't working anyway, so there was not much risk. It turns out that it uses a very widely available type (variously called SR920SW, 371, or SG6) that I bought on eBay for $2.10 including shipping. (The SR920W, 370, or AG6 will also work, but is rated for higher current draw and is therefore unnecessarily more expensive in this low-current application.) These batteries are available on Amazon as well, but for $2 items Amazon tends not to be the best option. It has been a year since replacing the battery and the watch has been working fine since then.Water resistance is not good. I've seen condensation fog the inside of the crystal a few times, but it cleared up without any long-term consequences. Because I opened the case to replace the battery, I cannot fault the manufacturer. The screw-down crown is more of a gimmick than a factor in water resistance because the back plate of the watch is held flat by four corner screws into plastic. It would not be prudent to wear this watch while showering or swimming, but I've never had any problem from hand washing. Despite my skepticism that the design of the watch ever justified a 200m water resistance rating, the fact is that it has been running trouble-free for two and half years except for needing a battery change. The diving bezel actually works and is ratcheted to rotate unidirectionally counterclockwise, but you really don't want to go diving with this watch. The day-of-month calendar indicator assumes that all months are 31 days: after each month with less days it must be manually corrected, but this is a very minor inconvenience -- as long as you remember to do it. The date indicator can be independently adjusted by pulling the crown out halfway, so it is not necessary to advance the hands 24 hours to trip the date indicator.Overall, this is a decent plastic watch that is the most affordable option available with tritium-illuminated hands and dial markers.UPDATE: I had to replace the battery again, but otherwise the watch is still running strong after four years. Apparently the battery life is consistently 18-24 months, which is very reasonable.

I returned the watch
This seemed to be an okay watch but one of the numerals (the 3) had absolutely no illumination so I returned it.

Not as good as expected for the price
I just received the watch this evening. The dial is black, not white as stated in the product description and the bezel is black, not green as shown in the picutre. It feels like a toy watch, not as sturdy as the "Protector" name implied. It is one very uncommon time that Amazon did not sell me the quality that I expected for the watch. I wish that I had read the reviews before. I think that it should be sold for only US $40

My review of UZI Watch
I can review this Brand of watch, As I have one already, which I bought in Australia. It glows at Night ,and have never seen a watch like it. Now comes the bad picture. The watch I bought at Amazon ,was the same I bought in Australia .How-ever quality Control was not good. I will explain, The watch on arriving at my Home address looked OK ,and it was working, Until I took a close look at the Watch, I saw that minute hand had lost it's part which glow at night. This little green bit was floating at the bottom of the watch, and at first I did not realise what it was?.Then I saw the green bit was missing from the second hand. I have posted the watch back to the seller, and want a new watch that works the way it is supposed to work. The watch is great if it works ,How-ever for the Price I believe quality Control is letting this Good looking watch down badly. This would not happen to Seiko or Citizen or Freestyle. By the way, I have not heard from the seller since I sent it back. I am still waiting for a new watch . What makes this watch expensive, is the fact that I had to Pay an extra $17.00 AU which they will not refund ,as I had to outlay to get the watch I want. Instead of the $76.00 Price I paid for this watch to come to Australia ,it now is costing $93.00. Not a good Buy I believe . Perhaps Amazon should have a talk with the seller, as the seller is using the good name of Amazon's good name to sell goods. This is my story of the UZI watch Rick.

Most excellent
After having read the reviews, I decided to order one of these, however there were out of stock and would need to wait. The wait was supposed to be 2-5 weeks, however it was delivered in 2.5 weeks. The watch itself is on the small size for my wrist but still very readable. I love the band as it is easy to get on and off. The whole package is very light and I don't even notice it being on. I am a watch freak so I am wearing 2 watches at the same time; if I had more arms, I might wear more.Packaging was light and great. The booklet very complete and easy to read. The watch's glow is not bad (yes not like Luminox or the price either) but I have not really used in much in pitch black conditions; nor have I got it wet as of yet to check the 200M rating. Soon though. Despite the sizing of the watch face, it is again very readable and have no issues with it. No parts have come off yet and the outer rings works just fine. The date is a slight hard to read when there is a double digit beginning with a one - could be moved over a touch but still workable.Since the watch was running when it arrived, I do wonder how long the battery will last - 2, 3 or 4 years as other similar Campco watches say 4 .. so we will see.The pricing was great and delivery was fast.Overall I like the look and feel and workability of this watch. A must buy but don't buy the one with the white face as with white hands it would be unreadable.Go for it!!!!

Not awesome, but nice price for tritium
I like the tritium glow, especially for that price. Unlike many people I don't like it super bright. I am disapointed at the cheap strap that takes forever to dry and the cheap rotating bezel that fell off after a few weeks. I can snap it back on, but it now rotates in both directions instead of being locked in couter clock wise.
