You charge it with the type c or micro usb cable. I used a wall plug, but you can use a car charger or PC. It only took about 3 hours to fully charge. I've used it about 15 times in 3 weeks and it's still fully charged. It started a completely dead battery on an Infiniti QX56 5.6l V8 SUV with no issues. Simply connected the cables, pushed the "Force Start" button on the cable, and it started. I've used it multiple times on my riding lawnmower (which needs a new battery) and it starts right up!The best thing is it's lightweight and portable. Everything fits in the hard shell carry case, so I don't worry about losing pieces. Bonus - Once it's charged, it can charge other usb devices and it has a built in flashlight. This makes it a great go to item for power outages and storm preparation.

I had a smaller one of these things that after many years of being in the glove box, broke. Decided to replace it with a stronger one that could handle more. It's definitely a bigger brick than the old one, but still fits in the glove box, & I keep the case with the rest of the items in the trunk. I feel more secure knowing it's there, & during power outages have also used these to charge phones. My old one was used more than once to jump start cars, & was a life saver.**update 1/2021 - had to help out a neighbor with a dead battery, who didn't know these existed, & it worked perfectly, so they are now ordering one for themselves.

Very useful product! My vehicle battery is dying very often, I was going to replace my battery, because of the virus i delay the appointment. Last week Me and my wife try to go to super market get some foods. I try to ask passerby to give me a jump, but no body want to stop by because the viruses. I end up to knock all my neighbors door to get a jump. After that I decided go to amazon to order that small jump, arrives in 2 days and it’s very easy to use have clearly instructions,very helpful during this special time!

I have an offroad rig and travel trailer that can easily suck down a truck battery to junk.It is very well packaged and seems like great quality. It’s a little bit of ease of mind. It also seems like it could be used for a backup battery charger for our laptops when we are in the road.

This device is totally utilitarian. I pair the cigarette lighter accessory with my portable air compressor to effortlessly inflate our bicycle and car tires. My car battery hasn't failed yet, but I look forward to easily using this device over the logistics of using jumper cables between two properly positioned cars. The product is well constructed, compact, and neat appearing. I was prepared to give this product a bad review as the power switch failed on my initial unit, but I contacted customer support and quickly received a working unit. The mechanical switch failure only affected the operation of the flashlight, but my poor eyesight requires this in dim lighted areas.

Amazing product!! I have a 2007 Volvo S40 that I got from my mother after she passed. She wasn’t to thrilled to get it worked on by Volvo, so I’ve had my work cut out for me getting it running dependably. I bought this product after the battery quit on me while running around town. Thanks to a good people I got it going and got home. I charged the battery and the next day it was dead again. This time it was my fault, left the parking lights on. I have all different types of boost packs that I've bought over the years so I can keep one in every vehicle. My daughter just bought a Nissan Altima so I ordered this one. Needless to say this is the largest pack we own. I was impressed with it's size and heft. Might be a little overkill for a 4 cylinder engine!So the other day we were leaving the airport (think small general aviation airport) and a pilot had a dead battery. He was heading to Texas and stranded. So we whipped this baby out and hooked it up. Now this is a big engine. Its an 0-360, which I think translates to 5.9 liters. However, unlike a car which has a transmission and the engine is disengaged from everything, a plane engine is permanently attached to its propeller. And this was a big prop on a big bore engine. Lots of power and torque needed to turn it over.Started right up. So easy it was almost comical. A little (relatively) battery pack jump starting an airplane. First use to! Only drained it one light on the LED scale. I have every confidence that this baby will start about any car out there after jump starting a plane. Buy with confidence!

This product works great, as it started my (almost completely dead) battery on my old 1995 Jeep Cherokee.I used it again today, and work perfectly. I would definitely recommend this waterproof, well-made product to anyone who is looking for a QUALITY battery jump starter! You don't need another car or an extra set of jumper cables to start your dead battery. So if you're alone and can't depend on someone else, this is all you need... and you're in business!!!
