I play Surf music but can't afford to invest in the vintage equipment. This effects pedal sounds like something Hank Marvin or The Ventures or Dick Dale would have used if it were available back then. The controls really allow you to set up that vintage heavy wet surf sound or a more mellow ambient sound (think Sleepwalk by Santo and Johnny). It uses a center negative 2.1 mm 9volt power supply o order that separately or get a daisy chain for your existing power supply. I use the Surf Rider III with another stompbox that is programmed to produce a magnetic tape delay which gets me the kind of sound I like when playing Apache. There are a lot of reverb effects out there but you can't go wrong with this one.

Simple, and sounds great
This was part of my quest to simplify my setup, and I was not disappointed. The pedal is solid, easy to tweak, and the boost switch is a nice touch. I am using this with both guitar and bass, and am very happy with it. Best reverb for me outside of an actual spring tank!
