The Dirty Hand Tools front tine tiller features a Kohler XT675 149cc EPA/CARB approved engine with a belt-drive transmission for powerful and reliable performance for many residential applications. The tilling width of 15 inches allows for maximum versatility and is ideal for working in larger planting areas but small enough to till between rows and in tight spots. This machine has one forward speed with a 10 inch tilling depth and counter rotating tines so it reaches deep into the ground to turn up soil and it slices, chops, and turns to create finely-milled, fresh, well-aerated soil. This tiller is also equipped with an adjustable depth regulator that allows you to till deep to prep soil or shallow to eliminate weeds. Has a driver-operated safety control lever and side/rear safety shields to prevent injury. The 6 inch diameter treaded wheels help stabilize the tiller when operating on rough terrain and soft soil conditions. Forward-rotating tines perform well in existing flower beds for cultivating, weeding and working in compost or end-of-the-season vegetation. The Dirty Hand Tools Front Tine Tiller makes reliable, comfortable work of a variety of homeowner tilling tasks. Like all Dirty Hand Tools tools, this tiller comes ready to work. And when your work is done, the handlebars fold for easy storage. Additional Specifications: 0.6 quarts engine oil capacity (engine oil not included), 240 rpm tine speed, neutral/forward transmission.

Damaged Tiller not packaged in proper shipping container, box, pallet.
I liked the speed at which the item was shipped and I received the item in just a few days. What I did not like was that the tiller was shipped in the manufacturers item box, which is not made for shipments(no protective insulation to protect tiller from dropping or knocking item over on its side and getting damaged). The tiller box should be shipped in a larger box so that some foam/styrofoam can be inserted around item and provide protection. The boxed item could be mounted on a small pallet for shipment. Due to lack of proper packaging, the oil filler tube was broken into several pieces, the oil dip stick cap was cracked, and the metal bracket for securing the oil filler tube was broken off of the side of the engine. I bough a new oil filler kit and some J&B metal epoxy to secure the oil filler mounting piece by remounting it to the engine by using the Epoxy. Also, the muffler guard was bent slightly, but does not effect the exhaust. I do not recommend buying this item unless they install it in a protective box to help prevent the tiller from getting damaged. After letting the epoxy set for about a week, I put gas in the tank and oil in the engine. The engine cranked up on the first pull. I can now till up my garden.

Damaged Tiller
As another reviewer stated, the Dirty Hand Tools Tiller arrived with shipping damage. Gas cap was completely broke and unusable, air filter cover was broke and would not close, exhaust and exhaust cover were smashed, there were loose bolts and pins in box, and the throttle cable cover fell apart when I moved it. The box the tiller came in was put in a larger box and shipped. There was nothing around the tiller to protect it during shipping. I wish I would have been able to use it, but that was not possible given its condition.

Good Machine for the money
It is a little work horse but don't really care for the wheels, they need to be a little farther apart. Works best if you till up about 4" at a time. If you go down 6" or more on the first pass the tines will stop and the gears or belt that drives them squeels. Motor has more power than this tiller needs or they need to beef up the drive gears

Great, but make sure you drain fuel during the winter months or you'll experience starting issues. Usually starts with first pull otherwise.

Great machine, one saw 1 minor flaw
I will give it 4 stars works great, easy start, easy to clean great machine for the price, the only problem is the blades are supposed to flip around for filling softer dirt but the hole the cutter pin goes in is drilled to far forward and blades cant be turn due to hitting shaft.
