It is a cape. We didn't use it though. I had issues with the sizing. My dog is 24 lbs and smallish the med was too small and the large was too big. I think the first one (med), was really a small and just tagged wrong.

I have a 26 pound pug. Would a medium work or should I go up to a large?

I don't believe so, I have a 17 lb dog and it didn't fit him, they run very small

Perfect costume for Talk Like a Pirate Day!

OK, before you ask, "You bought a costume for your dog for Talk Like a Pirate Day?!" Yes, I did. It's 2020, the world is literally on fire, and we all seriously just need to smile, so I spent $11 on a costume for my dog to send a few smiles out into the world.This costume is great! Exactly as described and fit well. My pup is about 15 lbs Lhasa and the Medium was perfect for her. The hat was a little big, but It's fine.Some other reviews posted pictures of the costume next to their animals claiming it was too small I don't think they realized it only goes on the front of the body, not around the entire body. ONLY THE FRONT TWO LEGS GO IN THE COSTUME.Anyway, super great costume!

Best costume ever

I love that it doesn’t fall off my dogs back. It stays center no matter how much he runs or gallops. Which gives it the huge comedy factor. I want to but it for friends!

Cute Costume

Bought for my Shih Tzu and the outfit is really cute BUT if you have a dog with short legs, you will have to roll up or cut as legs were too long for her. I will roll them up then tack to keep them in place. The price was great and quick shipping.

Super cute but poor construction

The feet holes are so small? And the legs are so tight? My dog is 5 lb and I measured him and all and it still was ill fitting and slid down as soon as he walked. Good for photos but not functional.

Value for the money!

The sizing guide was really helpful and pretty accurate. The neck is a little large and the hat is also a little big but by wrapping the straps/Velcro areas we made it work. The pics were worth the price we paid for sure. Remy wasn’t thrilled wearing it but he didn’t freak out. He left it on for about 20 minutes which is fine with me. The quality is pretty good considering the lower price. Some stray threads but nothing structurally wrong with it at all. I can’t quite figure out the caps thing that came with it so I left it off. All in all we are pleasantly surprised and very happy with the overall quality! For reference we bought a medium for a 19 lb cavapoodle. He has an 11” neck, 17 inches neck to tail and 18” chest circumference. Small would have been too small.

Works with 3-legged dogs too!

The hat didn’t stay or fit very well, but the rest of it was great. I adjusted it a little by adding a peg leg for where Buddy was missing a leg. It worked out great and he was so super adorable! 🥰🥰
