I switched my winch line over to synthetic and bought this to make sure that the line stays out of the sun. My main complaint would be how it is secured. This cover would work great for a winch on the front of a car trailer. I have a toyota pickup with a trailgear bumper, the winch fits very snug to the front of the bumper and the grille so getting this cover on is a challenge. I can’t complain to much because the material seems like it’s a very good quality. I debated on buying a cheap cover with an elastic band but they all seemed to cheap for me. At the end of the day, this cover will do it’s job it’s just difficult to get on and off for a winch that is on a vehicle.

I like it, first one I've owned including a winch, of course with time it well tell if durability well hold up. So far 2 weeks with rain on and off so far winch cover has protected it from rain etc. Not the best of picture but but color and words are not faded on arrival and has added extra to the jeep overall. I read the reviews and decided to take a chance. Application is 2018 jeep jl with spider bumper/smitty xrc 9.5k winch, control box is center/top. This cover is way big, probably a better fit on bigger winches. I had to remove the laces and snake them around power cables on passenger side and the cover went on easy enough, however there a big voids on both sides, like 3 to 4" tall. The locking mechanism does not really lock, it holds the laces (kinda) and a square not is used on other side of lock to prevent loosening (thats how it arrived to me). After fighting it for quite a bit and untying the factory knot I was left with a pretty bad fit. Both sides loose and a cover much too big for a 9.5k. I decided to return as I would not want to deal with this cumbersome removal and install for a cover that is too big (it literally covers 70 percent of jeep grill). I will opt for the $18.95 "el jefe" cover on Amazon. I had 2of those, last one flew off on highway after 3 years, but is a much tighter/streamlined fit, plus way easier to take off and put on... this time might I will utilize a black bungee or 3/8 zip tie as the elastic band loosens after a few years...
