NB New Balance 10 D Men's 1260V7 Running Shoe
This is my review of the new 1260V7 running shoe. First I would like to dispel other reviewers statement "Tong Too Narrow." Please take a look at my pictures submitted herewith. The tong is just right if you lace up your shoes. Next "Fits too narrow." I measured my foot for accuracy 10 D. I ordered this shoe selecting drop down menu Wide. Just arrived today and this shoe fits exactly as measured. Please take a look at picture with my finger on left side of shoe, toes snug to fit. Next, arch. I selected high arch as you can see from my pictures, I have a purchased therapeutic insole and this gives the shoe high arch. Last tread bottom of shoe. Well, as you can see from my pictures this goes without a word said. I feel New Balance has done an excellent job on the bottom sole. Notice the green fuel cell for added stability. All said you won't find a better deal than this as stated here on Amazon. This particular shoe is currently selling elsewhere on the internet. I Purchased these on Amazon. Thank you Amazon!

1260 true to form
I've been using the 1260 for several generations over the last 10-15 years I think, and these don't disappoint, feel as expected. I'm 215 lbs with moderate flat feet, trying to get down closer to my previous weight around 200. I had an older pair of V6 and these V7s instantly made my joints feel better, so it was obviously long overdue for a replacement set.Overall, they fit exactly the same as every other pair I've had, I'm 11.5 and normal width.Initially hesitant based on some of the reviews, but I have no idea what people are talking about, and I'm not disappointed. Some people wrote about the fit: no idea what they're talking about.Someone wrote about the tongue and the laces: No idea. feels fine, and I had them laced up all the way to the second to last holes, with still too much leftover so I had to triple knot them to take up the slack. So I guess if you have weirdo hobbit feet or something, then you might have fit issues but then again, you will probably have fit issues with everything and need a better understanding of your foot. For normal feet, these fit as expected and like every other 1260 I've owned.

I had the original 1260's - the 1260v7 is a little disappointing
I've been running with original NB 1260's for years, and they were great in every way. However, these 1260v7 are a little disappointing. They're comfortable. No issue there. However, the exterior toe area isn't as robust in its protection. Also, the tongue seems to be more narrow, so that my sock shows from one side or another 1/2 the time. I've returned from runs and the tongue has moved over to one side and I can see my socks on both feet through the laces. I never had this issue with original 1260s.Also, the laces are short. The original 1260 are laced fully up and I still have plenty of lace left. These v7's, when laced fully, force me to tie a tiny little bow. They stay tied (so far) on my runs, but how much money do you save by shortening the laces??Some finishing touches are also seem cheap.Even the achilles heel padding on the original 1260 have a notch to allow for the tendon, these new ones don't. It seems like a nicer finish to have the notch in the padding. Cut corners??Is it worth alienating a runner who is a loyal NB customer? I'm disappointed overall. NB has been my brand of running shoe since I started running in jr high. (a long, long time ago)I've ordered another NB running shoe version. That will be the test if I'll need to finally move on to another brand.Overall, they just feel cheaper than the origianl 1260's. I'll use these as a training shoe, but with a moving tongue and short laces, I won't race with them.

I have had so many disappointing interludes with shoes that are amazing but they don't come in a wide size
I am a devoted New Balance customer and will continue to be. This company (hands-down) has the market on the wide-shoe market. As a person ''blessed" with gondolas for feet, I have had so many disappointing interludes with shoes that are amazing but they don't come in a wide size. The 1260V7 is a great shoe. The fit is supportive yet comfortable; stylish and all the right colors I love. However, the only reason I didn't keep the shoe (having tried them on Prime Wardrobe) is the mesh exterior looks as though it would wear down and tear sooner than later. For $150, I need a little more tactile proof that my shoes can endure the gym to the road and back.

Great for people with Flat Feet
I seriously have the flatest feet possible. Im talking 0 arch support. I have been using new balance shoes for about 10 years now and they help alot. I still have foot pain if im standing for real long periods at a time but its alot more manageable of a pain now. I use these with Dr Scholls inserts from walmart (the ones on the arch support machine that are about 40-50 dollars). Those in combination with these nice shoes are really nice. Just got some before i had a all weekend long convention and they help up like champs and i got by with only minor foot pain! (Trust me thats amazing compared to some days i could barely walk with crappy shoes) A must buy for bigger people with flat feet! you wont regret it!

A Tongue on Its Rumspringa
I'm a 200 pound male with significant Morgan's toe. I need good motion control, stability, cushioning... and a shoe that can handle my body weight while running. The Brook's Beast is my favorite but I occasionally try and find another good shoe so that I have options. I ran in this New Balance 1260v7 pair for the first time yesterday. It was a 35 minute indoor run. The shoes seem to have all the right stuff for me and they were very comfortable. On the left shoe, however, you can see in the image how far off course the shoe tongue traveled during that short run. On a $150 shoe that simply isn't acceptable and I'm finding that New Balance shoe pairs often have one or more tongue on its rumspringa. A shoe with a wandering tongue like this is worth no more than $20 or $30. With all the technology available to shoe developers today, there is absolutely no excuse for New Balance to fail so often in the tongue department.Great shoes if you get a pair with tongues that will stay in place
