I read the reviews and spent a lot of time going over them. This looked like a decent deal, considering the amount. After I received it, my daughter went into the hospital for a number of weeks. I finally assembled the darn thing, and after me & my wife tried it out there was no noticeable tension. At all. We read the reviews of "pulling slower will respond with more tension" but something on this is broken. Called Support, they were foreign, did not understand much but agreed to give a refund if I returned it. Daughter in hospital= a couple weeks later & still have this big paper weight. Return date expired & they said "It's mine now".. I tried selling it online, in the paper, got a couple bites but after folks come try it out, walk away. I tried selling it for half what I paid for it, BRAND NEW out of the darn box. Oh well, one more cruddy product I can add to my list of crud I got from Amazon.

Let me start by saying this was a really good purchase. I'm happy with the product. So the purpose of a review is to let your fellow consumers know what they're getting into. That said, I will tell you I had to take the box up to a second floor and it took a hand cart to do it. It was quite heavy even with a hand cart. I'm a five foot five female of normal weight. But I am pretty darn strong. I did get it up there in less than 5 minutes though. Thank God I have a split staircase. I thought I wasn't going to be able to pull it up that last step. My thought was oh s***. Tenacity won out. There was no way I was going to let this beat me on the last step. It would be interesting to disassemble this and put it in the box 6 weeks after I've been using it to see if it would be easier to pull up the steps because I was or was not ripped at that point. I'm not that bored so I won't be doing that. Plus I'm not crazy. Once I got the ton of bricks upstairs, it was easy to put together. I didn't read the directions, because apparently I like a challenge, but I would suggest you make sure you're putting it together in the correct order or you will aggravate yourself. I was able to map out the steps in my head so I didn't have that problem. But, I can definitely see that it could be aggravating. Once I put it together I could tell the quality is excellent. I've been using it for a few weeks and I'm glad that I chose this one for the incline of the seat. I don't think it would have been enough to work my legs if I hadn't. I'm not sure if this is going to be enough of a leg workout for me but if anybody has any tips I'm open to hearing them. I can feel this work the muscles in the front of my legs especially near my knees. As for an ab workout, excellent. I just lean back as I'm doing the exercise and it does work the abs. It's a really good arm and back workout as well. It's got the love handles covered as well. A lot of it is technique. If you're looking for a rower that well made and a decent price this fits the bill. It also stores in an upright position if needed. I don't see how you could slide it across the room and into a closet since it doesn't have wheels. I don't get why that wasn't covered in the design.

I had this rowing machine in the past. It gave me a nice workout.The only issue I had was that it gave me a constant resistance regardless of how hard I was pulling.If you have ever tried water rowing machines or magnetic rowing machines with a flywheel combination, thenyou'll understand what I'm talking about.I had to return it.I bought Sunny Health & Fitness SF-RW5856 Magnetic Rowing Machine instead.I like it much better.Sorry, but it's my own opinion.Peace.

We purchased this after looking at many similar rowers on amazon. But now that it has arrived and works great, im so happy we chose this. Great value for money! The stride is super smooth, and the frame is well built. It was easy to assemble, and came with a BONUS cooling towel. 5 start from me!

Resistance at 7 feels like nothing. Display sucks too

Brilliant rowing machine that actually supports a high intensity workout. The smooth pulling motion allows comfortable stride and an effective workout.

The assembly manual and how to exercises are fine. The instructions for setting and reading the multi functional LCD display that indicates time, scan, count, calories, and count/minute are completely missing. Also what is "scan"? Scan what? No mention of "scan" in the inadequate instructions. I could raise the rating to 5-star if it defined "scan" and had instructions for the LCD display.
