Best, Most Reliable Monitor... You Won't be Disappointed!
I don't think I have ever written a review on amazon, but this deserves one. I bought this in 2018, and I am working on it right now (2025). 7 years of moving to different houses and apartments, of lugging it back and forth in my car stuffed with other crap. This thing is invincible, and infinitely customizable. no dead pixels, no problems, ever. best money I have ever spent. 10/10 would buy again (and will if somehow I ever manage to make this thing fail). Could it be brighter? yes. Could it have better off axis viewing? yes. Could it have a higher pixel density? yes. But for what it is and for what it claims, this is the best monitor (and hence pretty much only although I have used others) monitor for both games and productivity that I have owned. Buy one, I promise you will not be disappointed.

Dude get the Dell!
I did hours of research online and watched many reviews on YouTube comparing the Dell gaming monitor to the Asus and Acer ips monitors. Based on my research, I came to the conclusion that I did not want to take a chance with back light bleeding, IPS glow or any other QC issue from the other manufacturers. My last monitor was a Phillips 1080p 24 inch 144hz 1ms response time that I purchased from Amazon. I wanted to upgrade to an affordable 1440P monitor and chose this one. The first thing I noticed when unboxing was the great build quality and how professional it looks. No cheesy red/green "gamer" accents that clashes with my all white PC build. Note to other manufacturers: Stop with the ugly red colors, it's getting old and most people that are spending this amount of money on monitors just want classy black monitors. If you are going to add color accents, make them optional with red/green/blue stickers like asus does with their GPUs.The colors needed some adjustments out of the box but can easily be found online. I also had no issues with the deep sleep mode since I disabled it when I first powered it up. The settings menu is easy to navigate and the buttons felt nice and not difficult to press. The power light is white and angled down so it doesn't bug you while you are gaming at night. Coming from a 1080p monitor, I noticed the 1440P resolution jump immediately and was very pleased with that and the buttery smoothness of gsync + 144hz. I'm running a single Nvidia 980 GTX and noticed my frames per second run over 60 fps on most games. You may have to turn the graphics settings down for some graphics intense games such as BF4 in order to get the frame rate you desire. The 980ti will run this monitor the best, but the new pascal gpu's will arrive this summer if you can hold out till then. Overall I am very satisfied with this monitor. Brings gaming to another level. If you are coming from another TN panel, this one will exceed your expectations. Haven't gone from an IPS to a TN so I can't speak on whether ips is worth the extra 200-300 dollars. I would rather save $300 for the oled monitors that will be out soon and skip IPS all together. If you are on the fence, buy this monitor from Amazon, you will be satisfied and happy that you got the best monitor for the price. The settings that I am currently using are:Nvidia Control Panel>Adjust desktop color settings:Brightness-50%Contrast-50%Gamma-0.60%Digital vibrance-70%Hue-0CLICK APPLYDELL Monitor settings:Brightness-45%Contrast-75%Color>Custom Color:R-97%G-99%B-96%Keep up the good work Dell! Start working on Dell IPS and OLED gaming monitors soon!

Absolutely gorgeous for gaming, excellent value
After a few days of owning this monitor, here's my thoughts:No issues with quality control for me. No dead pixels. No issue with the HDCP over the displayport. No issues with anything at all except that my displayport cord that was included with the monitor was broken. I suspect I would be able to get a replacement cord but I didn't want to wait for that so I picked up a new DP cord.Monitor calibration is pretty jarring on the default settings. I've bumped it down to about 26 brightness because it was so blindingly bright. Tweaked the colors and contrast and the color profiles in nVidia to get a balance that looked best to my eyes. It's absolutely beautiful, especially considering it is a TN panel monitor. I don't do graphic design or color intense work, so maybe if you're in that field still go with an IPS display but for games and media consumption this is a beast for a good value.nVidia's G-Sync is amazing even if I hate that it's marked at such a premium over the competing FreeSync technology. Never saw myself going back to AMD cards though so G-Sync it is. Games are silky smooth even if you drop FPS in areas. The monitor also has ULMB settings that can be activated but only if G-Sync is disabled and if you set the refresh rate to 85, 100, or 120hz. After experimenting with 100hz+ULMB and G-Sync, I decided G-sync looked better for my current games of choice. Some of the stand properties are only decent - it feels too loose in some of the adjustments (vertical position) and too stiff in others (rotation along any axis) but these are really minor issues and really don't bother me at all. Still, if you are constantly moving your monitor's position I would just be aware of that. All in all I don't think I could have gotten a better gaming monitor for this price. It's 1440p, 27" and has both G-Sync and up to 144hz (120hz is the max for ULMB, fyi) and came with zero quality control issues on the display itself, which can be a rare thing nowadays.
