Works great, just make sure to read the instructions!
This alginate is awesome! We were trying to find a food safe way to cast body parts and this stuff was the ticket! The instructions were easy to follow, it took us a few tries to get it perfect, but once we figured it out, it was amazing. Our cast had really great detail and it was easy to remove after our plaster set. Easy clean up too. It smells a little minty.

Its Ok
EDIT: I initially left a one star review, but it is actually ok. Do not follow the ratio of water and alginate on this box. Its really off. I put in more alginate and a little water to make a cake batter like consistency. After that it worked well.

finshed out like the consistancy of a thick jello
mixed as per directions. finshed out like the consistancy of a thick jello. Not usable for anything. I'll try another ratio, however, even a thicker consistancy will just result in a thicker "jello". I need a stable harder finish. Not sure what you could do with this type of "mold"

Does not work as advertised and poor quality
Bought this to make an impression of my teeth. Using this product was a hassle. The mixing instructions included were inaccurate. According to the box, the product is suppose to harden in 2 or 3 minutes. This is not true if you mix it as they instruct, even using hot water to speed up the reaction.Once you figure the right mixture ratio out for yourself, you'll find out that the quality of the cast you ended up with is poor quality and lacking fine details.Would not buy again.

Don't know why they call this, alginate, as it's not.
Even when following the directions and using distilled water, this is not great. It is not dental-quality.
