Works well.
Works well. I have my Dreamcast running on a 65” oled now and it’s pretty awesome.

Day 1, so far so good
I received a unit with the 16:9/4:3 toggle. from past reviews it seems like some people received the wrong unit. When I first plugged everything together, I wasnt getting any video from the Dreamcast, but I just unplugged it and plugged it back in, more securely and it worked. The toggle works great. I have this connected to a portable 1080p screen and it responds immediately to the toggle. I don't have to make any changes to the monitor's settings. The image looks great to me. I dont really nitpick on graphic quality. I played Skies of Arcadia first and it didn't seem too dark or off to me, but i'm not spending time comparing it to other connection methods. This comes with an HDMI cable, micro usb cable for power and a usb power adaptor, which is great for the price. For the price, i'm really happy this works as well as it does.

Connect Sega Dreamcast to current TVs
My Dad has a Sega Dreamcast he used while he was an over the road trucker in the days off SD-CRT TVs, and has games he still enjoys playing. He was less than pleased with how the system worked when using the RF modulator on newer HD or even higher resolution 4kTVs. He asked me if I could hook it up in a better way. I found this, we got it and made the connection. It works well enough he should be happy with the games unless the resolution won’t cut it on a 50” 4k capable TV, if he remembers what it looked like on 19” or less SD-CRT.

Good bargin Dreamcast HDMI adapter
Works for every title I've tried. For the price it's great but it's not a VGA adapter so quality is worse than more expensive versions. The benefit to this is the VGA incompatible titles will work fine. Screen ratio switch is very nice to have.

Better than I expected
This was a lot more high quality than I thought. I thought it was going to be just a direct analog to digital conversion like the Wii to HDMI cable. Although it needs extra usb power (that could just be plugged into the TV's USB slot) it's all great and it even has it's own operating system that appears on the top-left if it is 4:3 or 16:9 and it tells you if the adapter sees the Dreamcast or not, good for troubleshooting.

Always Plugged in/Only outputs original signal.
Just to be clear, this does NOT Upscale the picture from its original 480p to anything higher. It does not "convet" the image to a higher resolution. What it merely does is it sends out the original 480p resolution through a 1080p signal. But you'll still get the old, crappy, fuzzy, muted colors that you'd get with the original composite RCA cables. ONE key difference is that, since it's digitizing the image, it's cleaning up noise that you may get from old, faulty RCA cables. So, if you're seeing image quality reduction from your red, white, and yellow cables, this will improve upon that. But again, it won't upscale the original image. This is not a negative or a positive. I just wanted to clear it up for those claiming that this upscales the image, and that you're going to make a 1080p image out of a 480p original signal. That won't happen.Secondly, one negative I DO want to point out: This is a "always plugged in/always on" converter. So, if you're going to habitually play your Dreamcast, you'll want to keep the power plugged in all the time, but the downside is that that's like leaving a Iron, on all the time. The converter will get hot, and it is drawing power continuously. The signal is on, if you go to the Input Channel on your TV.And if you want to unplug it, you'll have to plug it back in every time you want to play. A very small nuisance, but a nuisance nonetheless.Aside from that , this does what it simply claims - it outputs the Dreamcast signal as HMDI. Simple. The 19:9/3:4 button is nice. But since Dreamcast is not meant to be played at 16:9, it's kind of a moot point. It's a good device if you don't have a TV that has Composite outputs, or if you want to play your Dreamcast on a Display that only has HMDI.But if you're looking for a Signal Up-scaler, this isn't it.

Ordered 2, 1 Not Working
I ordered this because I was looking for a cheap alternative to the HDMI mod.I only got around to trying them years after buying. One just plain does not work, and it’s too late for a refund, I am left to assume.
