Excellent customer service! Stabilizes the kneecap.
First and foremost, excellent customer service!!! I ordered a pair of these braces but in one size too small. Rather than return the item, I emailed the company and asked for an exchange in size. They responded within the day asking only for my address. Within a few days, my new pair, in the right size arrived! No return hassles and prompt, polite customer service. Can’t get any better than that!As for the knee brace itself, I ordered per the instructions and while I was one inch less than what the size small indicated, and the Velcro straps did fit around my knee, the side bars didn’t sit correctly on the sides of my knee. I exchanged for a size medium and the fit is good for the sidebars and all straps.I feel this type of brace (vs sleeve type) offers more stability around the knee cap with the doughnut hole and double straps that wrap around the doughnut hole plus the adjustable compression they provide to the back of the knee. Also, they include a separate light sleeve to wear with the brace which helps the brace not to slide down.Again, thank you to the excellent customer service! It just doesn’t get any better than this!

The best knee brace I have found for thick thighs RECOMMEND
I injured my knee and the massive leg brace provided from the ER could NOT stay up did not work once I was up and walking around. I mean it was great to protect the knee but if it can not stay in place it is useless. It constantly slid down causing pain in the foot and not stabilizing the knee at all. Even tying it to a belt only gave it bare functionality. With thick thighs and smaller calf it was impossible to think the full leg brace would stay in place. I was in pain and desperate to protect my knees I started doing a lot of research. I knew the one piece neoprene knee "braces" would slide down for same reason or squeeze uncomfortably into the leg fat (always too small) and while only providing compression but no stability. So now the actual review (background helps with understanding). They had good reviews and were not overly expensive and as I was desperate I took a chance.I really liked how they Velcroed above and below the knee to give custom fit without hurting the knee itself more. There are also some stabilizing built in on the sides of the knee where it makes most sense. I was able to bend the knee just a bit but that was helpful with getting comfortable and wearing 23 hours a day. My knee was not feeling stable and the brace really helped with giving me more confidence to walk with a cane instead of the cumbersome walker. I still have to be careful with my steps because the knee was not healed but SOOOO much more freedom. Now just attaching the top and bottom Velcro pieces would not have been enough to stabilize the knee. There was no possible way to put them tight enough to hold the joint in place. This is where I fell in love with these braces. The two straps which come around the front of the brace, around the back of the knee and Velcro securely on the top front of the brace really and tie it all together. The straps were the perfect length for the size of the brace. I could tighten all the way to the logo for most stability or just to front sides for lighter stability. My knee felt so safe and really reduced the pain level of not wearing a brace. Two things in the listing really were spot on. They have multiple sizes so they recommend measuring the thigh a few inches above the knee and matching their size chart. This directed me to the size for the best fitting knee brace EVER. I have never had such an easy time getting a brace that actually fit my dimensions. The second item that was really helpful was the video showing how the straps correctly wrapped around. No a long video but made it very clear which way to wrap the straps for best functionality. The only thing that was not spot on was the cloth sleeve they provide to put under the brace. There is an open area behind the knee that you need but the fat rubs a bit and the edges can rub into the skin a bit. So they provide a cloth sleeve to place under the brace but... they did not take into account that this was a large brace and the sleeve is was not large enough so did not come up high enough. I didn't care because I did not know it came with that cloth sleeve. But if they actually put in the package a sleeve large enough to come up higher than the brace it would have been perfect. I just wore the brace over a pair of Capri leggings when out walking about or over PJ bottoms at home and was very comfortable. I did wear it under a pair of leggings one day and it worked and the brace was less noticeable but I just like better over leggings. Plus I got to choose the color strips in the brace and got a color I like so the brace is spruced up.Really this brace has been the most functional knee brace I have ever used and I will likely get a second one if the other knee is cranky at the same time. Plus I will recommend to everyone I know to get this brace if they need effective joint stability and different size thighs.RECOMMEND !!!Oh and BTW don't try to be a superhero. Your knee is still injured and needs time to heal. This brace will not magically heal your knee, it'll just keep the knee safe while healing. Trust me I know. :P

Okay for slightly plus size people
The sizing is definitely off but I am making g it work. My leg only measured about 26 and this says 28 but it's stretched for sure. The knee sock they provide does help though with slipping and comfort.

Very supportive and comfortable.
I have been thru many types of knee braces due to a torn meniscus which I had surgery on, arthritis and bone on bone rubbing. Although some have been comfortable, this is the best support I have had. . It is comfortable, cool, (no sweating under it, and supports my knee very well. I have worn it several days and actually forget it’s on. Also, it’s not bulky like the other ones, allowing me to wear it under my summer pants. I measured right at the medium size but went up to a L so I can wear it on top of my jeans and sweats. I’m 5”1 140 lbs. could have used a M. I give it a 5 star and would buy it again. Very satisfied.

Design flaw
I reinsured my meniscus @ a year ago, but decided to be patient and let it heal, versus having surgery. While I’ve seen some improvement, it is still an issue, so I decided to buy a new, perhaps better knee wrap. I looked at many and decided on this one. My old one was somewhat helpful, but the Velcro strap behind the knee was extremely uncomfortable. This wrap shows two small Velcro straps that criss-cross over and around the knee, and I felt that support would be excellent for supporting that lower inside area where the meniscus tear is. But after using this wrap a handymful of times, I’m finding that I’m having the same issue with behind my knee, as those two crossing straps end up in the bend of my knee and are rubbing. I tried using the nylon sleeve provided, as a buffer between my skin and the wrap, but because the sleeve is silky, it caused the wrap to move down my leg, therefore rendering no support for my knee, whatsoever. I suppose it might be better if I wore the brace over my pant leg, but I dress in a professional uniform for work, and would rather hide this wrap under my clothes. I also cannot say if the support I am getting is effective, because in order to get the necessary pressure and stability I feel my knee requires to heal, I have to wrap this thing right, and that isn’t comfortable or good, either. Just seems like a design flaw all around. While it’s too late to return this wrap for a refund, I wanted to provide some honest feedback to those who may be on the fence about purchasing. For me, it has not afforded me the support and comfort I’d so hoped it would.
