The price tag was so scary, but it's honestly a game changer!
I had a kitchenaid that I purchased in 2003. I used it 4-5x a week, I even started my pasta making business with it. It was a work HORSE. But I noticed it started to have some issues with keeping up. Fast forward to 1 month ago, I was making a batch of bagel dough and the whole thing started smoking and stopped working. We took it apart and the whole engine seized. I went looking for a replacement, and sticker shock the new ones were 500$+, and the reviews were all like "not like the older ones... not made like before" etc. So my Husband went on consumer reports. This machine was #1 on consumer reports but whooowee 1000$+ was way out of my budget. So we got the Hamilton Beach that was rated just above the Kitchenaid on Consumer reports. It was in a price friendly budget under 300$. I made a batch of cookies then a batch of pasta dough. The whole machine seized up then started smoking. Sent back to Amazon. I then debated between the Kitchenaid artisan and this mixer. This one was on sale for 800$, still more than the kitchenaid... I debated for 24 hours, and finally pulled the trigger. I am so glad I did, I made my first batch of pasta dough right off the bat. No issues, no struggling, no walking across the counter, the power was beyond perfect. It was so quiet I had to check to see if it was even running. Just sold all that pasta and paid off 1/4 the cost. So this is going to pay for it's self. Made a couple loaves of bread, some homemade butter, and some biscotti. No problems with any of them. The mixing ability is above what I've experienced in the past. The machine it's self has a 5 year warranty, worth it's weight in gold (and this is a heavy machine!) . I will say the cons: it comes with a mixing shield, it slides on and off but not easily. It also does not prevent liquid from making it through a 1mm gap between bowl and shield. It's more for a sense of cleanliness than actually do anything besides another part to clean. Secondly if you are used to the push and pull toggles of another mixer, this nob and push button can make you think. But not hard.If you are on the fence: buy itIf you are trying to impress your partner who already bakes alot: buy itIf you don't do bread, pasta, or heavy dough items: it might be a bit much for your needs. If you make money from your baking: Buy it

The best!
We've used KitchenAid mixers for many years. While KitchenAid is a good brand, there is no comparison with Waring. Waring is just a superior appliance.

I LOVEE
I love this mixer so much. I replaced my KitchenAid with this almost two months ago and I love how quiet it is. The parts are all beautiful and stay that way even after washing. Best mixer ever

Phenomenal
Unbelievable! Quiet. Incorporates quickly! Love the tilt back head. The attachments are professional. The color is stunning. I wonder how I lived without this fine mixer all this time.

love love love it (updated) until now
You can read my post below on how much I loved the mixers but after 4 years1 of the mixers is no longer working- it cuts out after mixing for 3-5 secondsWhen I called customer service she did not sound surprised - only comes w 1 year warrantyOwn 4 at work (high school culinary program)10/10 recommendationupdate year 4 and it is still my favorite stand mixer 2/2023This is a true review and not one written the day the box was open. We have been using the mixer for over a year and it works the same as when it came out of the box. It has had a lot of use in my high school culinary classroom. High School students are not gentle with equipment- not abusive just not gentle-It is by far the quietest stand mixer we have and my favorite. Quieter than all of the kitchen aid mixers we have. So quiet, in fact, that I have to check that the mixer is on.It handles small and large recipes like a dream, easily making pavlova with only two egg whites. The students like the ease of use with the tilt top and I like the safety cover.
