Perfect, loved volume 1, love this one too! Ordering all volumes

My granddaughter is 7 and she loves her Bao Bao Learns Chinese song books, Volume I and II. She is learning the songs and is surprisingly good at them. She has memorized several even though she is English-speaking and likes to sing along when we are in the car. It is so sweet to hear her enjoying herself. This has excited her curiosity about learning foreign languages and it is re-enforcing her singing skills. I like that there is a mix of traditional American and Chinese songs in Chinese. The recording quality is good and I like the volume control. The illustrations are charming. We are looking forward to buying volume III. Thank you for this unique and quality product!

This is the second book to Peipei's first Music Book and we are so glad we purchased this book!The first book had great songs, but we found that having a second book at grandparents home helped to keep our daughter's interest level in Chinese songs. (Plus, wouldn't you want to have your child see and learn from a variety of bilingual books?!). Having a mother (who is a native speaker) and a father (who is a 3rd generation American Chinese), this book has helped bridge the gap for the grandparents to learn Chinese tunes together with our daughter. Now that grandpa more interested in learning Chinese, the whole family is singing catchy songs during play time and our daughter is just in love. It's been so cool to see how the grandparents have become more involved in her language learning because of this book!I reviewed the first book (which I highly recommend!) with the three things I love about the book that also apply to this one. But I thought it would be good to include more details about why my family loves the second book.1. A mix of English-translated songs and childhood songsIf you grew up with Chinese speaking family, a few of these songs might take you back to your own childhood memories. I quickly became reminiscent of my own childhood days when my mom and grandma would sing these songs to me and now they can do the same to my daughter. I love that the author included songs that have lasted generations in my family. As a Chinese American, I also have the pin yin and English translations (and Peipei's voice) throughout that help me understand the song's story and how to pronounce it accurately.2. If You're Happy and You Know It in CHINESE?This was amazing. I've been singing this song in English 10x a day with my daughter (because she loves all the movements), but with this book, grandparents and I can sing it in Chinese! (Actually, Peipei's doing a great job singing it, via book). I love that I can now mix it up with a different language so that my daughter can hear both versions from grandparents and myself.3. Songs that promote family timeI love that the songs have a mixture of being a happy kid and especially ones that emphasize the importance of family. I just love that it inspires us as a family to sit together and enjoy each other's presence. We've made these songs into circle time with family and play time before bed because she not only loves listening to Peipei sing, but also us sing and dance along to the tunes. It's been so cute to see!I could continue to go on about Peipei's work, but I am just so appreciative of how much time and effort she's put into this book to allow my child to have a bilingual environment where the family members are engaged and learning together. Totally 100% recommend her books and I look forward to purchasing more from her! Thank you, Peipei!

Love this book! The music and vocal are clear and beautiful along with the illustrations. 1 year old granddaughter seems to love it! So glad we purchased the book. Thank you!

My 4-year-old grand niece figured out how to work this item without my teaching her anything. The only thing I needed to tell her was to turn the device on and off at the back. She figured out how to play and stop the song and which button goes with which song all by herself. Within a day, she learned to sing one of the songs in Mandarin. I bought the device for her to learn Mandarin so I’m very happy to see her like a duck take to water. Because she already knew some of the songs in English, I think that increases the level of engagement for her.I have a couple of suggestions: 1) The keys to the songs are too low for children. The songs should be about 4 tones higher for children’s higher voices. 2) the recording of the songs can be a tad slower for younger children to follow.I bought two of the books. I will definitely buy the third one. Great device for kids to enhance their reading and listening.

I purchase Volume 1 for my infant, and it did take her some time to press the buttons. It honestly may have been because I introduced it a bit too early for her. But, after figuring out the features, she grew accustomed to pressing the buttons for the music. She humms at all the songs now by the way! The book has thick pages which makes it durable. My daughter is now 13 months and we figured she was ready for Volume 2. She maneuvers it just as well! It's only a matter of time before she learns the songs on this book too. They are a tad bit faster, so I would suggest starting at Volume 1 and gradually build your babies to Volume 2. We are an English/Spanish speaking household, and I know some Chinese. I wanted to introduce my daughter to it, and she absolutely loves her Bao Bao books. We are looking forward to the online courses you are planning on. Thank you!

Excellent quality book once again, second purchase. Love the songs and the music recording is soft and can adjust volume.

Firstly these books are a great size and very easy for young learners to use. Unfortunately the cover is slightly different than the picture and does not say Vol. 2 on the cover and instead says English, Chinese and Pinyin. So an early learner who doesn’t read yet may easily get confused which book you are referring to. I get asked the question every 5 min about which book I am talking about as a result.Also in the general search they don’t show the pack of all 3 books being sold together which they do in their Amazon store. So I purchased all 3 books individually although I could have saved a couple of dollars and may have ensured that I got the newest versions of the books which are in the pictures.
