Download the drivers from MPOW to get it to work properly
I've tried a handful of cheap 4.0 Bluetooth adapters (Avantree, Doogee and MPOW) for my PC and they've always had flaky audio and can't connect to lots of devices at once.I finally caved and bought this version because it's 5.0, so i hoped it would have a better connection and it mentioned it could handle four devices at once.So far this dongle has been able to handle my keyboard, mouse, headphones and xbox controller at once without any connection issues. (Previous 4.0 dongles would make my headphones stutter when i connected my xbox controller)If this is your first time connecting a Bluetooth dongle the Windows might install generic drivers automatically as soon as you plug in the dongle. Mine connected as 'Bluetooth Radio' when i first plugged the dongle in. These aren't the right drivers and you might not be able to connect to any of your paired devices.I'd recommend uninstalling the generic Microsoft drivers (along with all your paired Bluetooth devices) from Device Manager and get the proper drivers from the MPOW website (Google 'MPOW BH456A Driver' to find it).The driver folder you get from MPOW's site has lots of different versions included in the download, but if you're on Windows 10 you'll typically need to install the x64 version. After you've installed the right driver and reset your PC at the end of the install and you will then be able to reconnect all your devices. The connection worked well across 10m through my house before it started to drop (It's timber-framed though, so it might be worse through brick walls). My old dongle would stutter if I leant back in my chair, so this is a massive improvement. Now everything is wireless, having a dongle that can handle multiple devices reliably is worth investing in. Even if it's just to save you time troubleshooting connection issues.

Works with Sony WH-1000XM3 Bluetooth Headphones
Prior to buying this I had the old Mpow Bluetooth 4.0 Model dongle. When I'd connect my Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones there would be constant skipping and stuttering, which would get even worse if I went further than 2 metres away from my PC. This was really annoying and I was sceptical to buy this newer dongle in case the problem persisted but decided to anyway. This newer 5.0 dongle, however, works perfectly. The connection with my headphones is consistent and it only starts to suffer if I'm in another room.Like other reviews have said, installation might be tricky. When I installed the drivers from the Mpow website Windows just refused to recognise that Bluetooth was installed. In the end I uninstalled the drivers and just plugged the dongle in without running the setup software. Somehow that time it worked, and it installed several drivers by itself and I could finally connect my headphones. It's a bit weird because according to the instructions you had to install the drivers by 1) Downloading and running the Setup software and then 2) Plugging in the dongle while it installed.Edit: I'm reducing my rating to 4 stars because every time I start up my PC again the Bluetooth drivers stop working and the only solution is to uninstall them via the Device Manager, plug in the Bluetooth dongle again and let them re-install themselves. While this only takes a minute it is extremely annoying and I shouldn't have to do it.Edit 2: I am yet again having to reduce my star rating because this dongle just comes with too many problems. I am now having an issue where, while this Bluetooth adapter is plugged in, my Settings windows automatically close by themselves. What I mean is, if I open the Bluetooth settings for example, the settings window immediately closes by itself. If I try to open it again it will close by itself again. Sometimes it closes itself immediately, sometimes it takes a few seconds. However long it takes though, this has made using my PC while the adapter is plugged in a pain because I have to keep opening and reopening a window if I want to change some settings. If the window closes immediately after opening I don't have enough time to react and quickly change whatever setting I need changed before it closes again. This doesn't even happen JUST with settings. This has now started happening with the Calculator app. I have been testing for hours and this is definitely a problem unique to the Bluetooth adapter, and I still haven't found a fix.

Worked fine for a month or so
Worked really well for a month or so. Just plug and play. After that it started dropping in and out, unplugging and re-plugging the USB worked for a while until eventually it just stopped working. I tried to install the Windows10 drivers from the website and uninstalled the old drivers and did various things to try to get it to work again but to no avail. Ended up just buying a new one.

adapter
bought this item for my windows 10 desktop pc because i wanted to connect my Samsung galaxy buds plus earphones to my pc thinking it will be a great idea, i did some research first to check if the galaxy buds plus will work well with a windows 10 pc and apprantly it does according to google. so when the adapter arrived i connected the adapter to my pc and installed the latest drivers then when it came to listening to the sound quality i found that i had to have the volume nearly on high on some youtube videos which i found annoying. there also was a slight crackle as if the the audio quality was at a low bitrate? the maximum default format for bitrate for the galaxy buds is 2 channel 16bit 44100hz (cd quality) could that be the issue of low volume? not sure weather the problem is with the galaxy buds not having enough ohms or the adapter is the issue?

Absolute nightmare
I was hoping this would plug into my new desktop and just work. 4 hours later, throwing away CD (!!!! what is that for) and trying to install REALTEK drivers over my new system, this dongle can't find anything at all and it's destined for the skip,
