Pringles Wavy, Potato Crisps Chips, Applewood Smoked Cheddar, 4.8oz Can

Very yummy! Difficult to put down you really just want to keep eating them.

This was my first time trying the wavy chip and that was fine. The flavor was neither cheesy or smoky, so I will probably not reorder.

Arrived 11/28/20 fresh and undamaged with best by date 09/24/21(printed on bottom of cannister.) 'Non-wavy' Pringles via pantry orders nearly always came as a crushed mess, and I stopped ordering them through pantry long ago. These thicker rippled 'wavy' Pringles at least arrive with very few broken chips.These chips are insanely salty. They taste too salty, and have nearly twice the sodium per serving as normal cheddar cheese Pringles. These have a super strong smoked taste which unfortunately drones out completely any cheddar flavor. Too many people seem to be complaining that these don't taste like apple or applewood, and frankly I do not think these people get the idea of a wood smoker. Apples is not an ingredient in these, and even if smoking poultry over applewood, unless your marinade has apple then it is doubtful you'll taste anything other then smokiness. Apple, pecan, cherry and maple wood have very mild smoke strength in comparison to hickory, oak and mesquite which have stronger smoke strength and easier to discern flavor characteristics.Overall these hold up well to dipping (unlike normal Pringles), they do deliver on the smoky taste (though way too salty and not terribly enjoyable in my opinion as a snack chip), and the intensity of the cheddar flavor is a big let down. Ironically these come mostly undamaged, where I'd prefer to crush these up and use them as a breading for chicken.

Super tasty, strong cheese taste!

Although I usually love Pringles, I did not care for this flavor at all. It mostly just tasted of potato...no apple taste that I could discern, and the cheese flavor was weak. I also discovered that I prefer the original thin Pringle chips and am not a fan of this thicker, wavy style. (A lot of the attraction of Pringles in the first place is their unique thin chip!)
