my tiller had been sitting for over 20 years and was dead. started right up after i replaced the diaphragm.

Super simple part that is easy to replace and gets a briggs running like new.If your engine won't start without starting fluid, or run at all replace this gasket. If you are going to break the tank to carb gasket make sure to replace that as you need gaskets that seal to get pulses to get this gasket ie fuel pump to work correct.Do not use RTV gasket sealer on any of the gaskets, it's unnecessary and will/can clog up necessary passages for the engine to run.Notice this part and the similar looking gasket with a spring are slightly different. Two holes are different...this should work but might as well get the right part.These dry out over time with ethanol and other components in gasoline. I've replaced so many of these I can't count over the years.

Perfect fit for my rebuild 1979 5hp.Sputtered one first pull ! (a good sign), started second pull.It’s been a year now since installed and haven’t had ANY issue at all.Motor starts second pull always and idles down to near nothing smoooth as silk. Powers up to full in a flash.This diaphragm is worth the money, and was way cheaper than at any dealer.

This was used on a 4hp Briggs and Stratton powered generator with tank mounted carb. Easy to install, started third pull, cheap repair!

A perfect fit for my 45 year old carburetor on my Briggs and Stratton 5 HP engine on my garden tiller. I just compared my old one to the one shown in the picture and both looked identical and took a chance and bought it.
