This tool was exactly what I needed for a small bathroom floor tile patch job
I have many of the Ryobi 18V tools, three chargers and I'm not sure how many batteries. As someone else noted, Ryobi isn't contractor grade, but my tools are not in constant use day in and day out. I might use it every day for a week or two and then not need it again for a year or more. These are great, inexpensive tools for that. This tool has many other uses, and I used this one for a bathroom tile patch job after the plumbers left a real mess of the floor to break the tile, jack hammer the concrete slab, and dig down to repipe our sewer system. I needed to cut the floor at the grout lines to make a nice and neat patch area because I didn't want to replace the entire floor to fix this area. This tool cut through the grout like butter and I also used it to smooth out the plumbers' concrete floor patch that had some peaks and rough spots. Now I'm looking for the other tools that go with this tool body that makes it even more versatile.UPDATE July 9, 2021: After using the tool to dislodge some more ceramic floor tile, I got really frustrated with it. The attachment screw keeps coming loose. I had to stop every 15-30 seconds to loosen it some more, realign the attachment with the indexing notches and then tighten it again. I don't remember that happening the first time I used this. Then I tried using a wood cutting attachment to trim a door stop so that I could insert a T-Molding transition piece underneath for a finished look. The same thing happened, and I had to keep stopping the tool because it appears to sometimes lock up and not oscillate at all. Then after releasing the on switch and squeezing it again, the tool would work for another 15 seconds or so. After this I would not buy this tool again

Gotta love the Ryobi range
I decided years ago to only buy battery operated tools and to stick to Ryobi. I have most of their range now: woodworking, gardening, lights, etc. This was my latest purchase and it’s very useful for certain kinds of detail work. The Ryobi ONE+ batteries have great life and having one battery type and one charger type is the way to go. I’ve also found it’s best to buy the Ryobi brand batteries—the knock-offs are *much* cheaper but really don’t hold much of a charge and sometimes they don’t fit properly. It is a “universal” tool, with cutters for wood, metal (but not too thick), drywall, etc. It has various sanding attachments, and other pieces I haven’t figured out how I can use.Heavy duty construction folks tend to denigrate the Ryobi brands as not being robust enough or powerful enough, but for a regular DIY person like me, they work great.

Invaluable Ryobi Oscillating tool
This is actually my second Ryobi P-340. I purchased it mostly as a portable oscillating tool. I find this to be one battery operated tool I use the most. I have used this to cut holes in counter tops for sinks. I've used this to create notches for door hinges. This is great for trim work and makes cutting drywall or trimming back spray foam a breeze. I used my other one for years. In fact I overused it. This is a great tool for the oscillating options alone.

Compact, versatile and powerful. DIY essential.
Such a versatile tool for the DIYer. I have been wanting one of these for years, ever since I saw a builder use it for many jobs around my house. Chose this one as I have the one+ batteries and after seeing a few videos on it. It came packaged with various blades and sanding attachments. Also includes a adapter for other branded blades which is a bonus. Feels very well constructed and solid in the hands without being too heavy. The trigger allows the speed to be adjusted and it packs a punch on full speed.I used it (along with other tools) to build a pergola with wood and composite decking. Used this many times to cut out sections of the decking which was at least 25mm thick with ease, using plunge cuts. One of the best things about it is that it can be used after I had installed the decking in situ.My only gripe would be having to use an allen key to attach the blades rather than a quicker mechanism like those of competitors. Also I have not come across any heads that can be purchased in the UK (only in the US), this would make the tool even better!

Excellent multi tool
I already had the Bosch 10.8v multi tool but wanted something with a bit more oomph. This doesn't disappoint, with a li-ion battery (not supplied) it's very powerful and has a variety of uses. Some more detail: it's 29cm tall (without a battery) and the right-angled head is 8.5cm to the tool bracket. It has a locking power switch which is a nice touch, although the lock is easily moved so I'd still remove the battery whilst changing tools. The whole head can be removed and rotated 360 degrees to the body of the tool, in 90 degree increments, making it easier to access restricted areas without the battery pack getting in the way. The adaptor is easy to fit and caters for Bosch or Dremel tools, with a 'B' and 'D' either side respectively to make it easy to know which to use. Tools are secured with a nut using a supplied hex key. It's a shame there's no on-board storage for the hex key as the whole thing doesn't come with a case, although the hex key sticks nicely to the magnetic plate on the battery compartment when storing. For info, the Bosch hex key also fits, but not as well as the supplied Ryobi one. Supplied tools are a 2.9cm rectangular multi-saw (for wood, plastic and metal), an 8.7cm round multi-saw and a 7cm sander attachment with some hook and loop sanding sheets (4x80 grit and 2 x120 grit). The sander attachment is about 2cm smaller than the Bosch version, so there's no cross-usage of those, but otherwise I find the Bosch tools work fine. There are a variety of other saw sizes available.
