This is a battery operated watch. There are two batteries in case. Neither is rechargeable. Solar is more of a gimmick that might extend battery life a little bit. A little tricky to change batteries as smaller is under larger. Watch brand is SKMEI. They make pretty good watches at a reasonable price. Written by a mechanical engineer.

i wanted a solar watch and had a hard time removing 2 links from each side of the bracelet, but a solkar watch for $20!!

This is a beefy watch. Everything about it is girthy. It’s really comfortable though! The latch is secure. The dual push button is built well. Very easy to size. Large face. Easy to set. Pleasant alarm chime. I just wish the darn band didn’t yank out my arm hair.

The first one came not working so they sent me a replacement, the replacement stopped working after only having it for 1 month and now it is after the return window.The digital part works but the analog hands won't keep time, it is not from lack of sun charge because we tested that.2 in a row not working in the same way is not a great sign. Costumer service the first time was good to send a replacement though.

Use every day. Purchased Aug 2020. Would have rated a strong 4 or possibly a 5 except for the cons.ProsGREAT price for solar watch. Looks good. Heavy watch. Only watch I've owned where the glass isn't easily scratched or is advertised to be scratch resistant.ConsAgree with complaints regarding:1 hard to adjust wrist band.2 Analog hands block reading digital readouts.3 The blue Tachymeter can come off. I thought it was held on by friction. I noticed a few weeks ago that it came off when I had my wrist in a position and the Tachymeter was "knocked" off by some pressure against edge of Tachymeter. I put it back on and felt it was secure but at 11 months today of daily wear I noticed today that the Tachymeter was missing I don't know where or what I did for it to come off this time.I will order again and try to secure the Tachymeter with some UV glue along the edge.

Cool watch for the price! It was easy to adjust for size, and seems durable.
