ActionLine Door Knob Pulley Exerciser
Had one years ago and they really work at shaping up arms, legs and abdomen. I do wish it was a little longer so that my head wasn't right at the door ( I'm 5' 4") but I love the fact that if you make a habit of using it ( you can use it a couple of times a day for a few minutes each time; excuses be gone) that you will see results. I lay on my back and lift both legs, then switch and do each side; ( don't know if it makes a difference, but I flex my feet/ foot toward me for half the reps then flex them away, it seems to affect different muscles) - but be sure and start out slowly, don't over do it even though it's easy. And it arrived promptly after ordering it (package was small, thought at first it was an error). Does seem a little cheaply made, but it glides easily and does the job.

This is very convenient to take with me wherever I go and simple to use.
I like the light weight of this. It easy to store and it works on the areas that I wish to tighten up

Works but needs better quality
Really works but I did 300 reps, 100 per exercise and the pulley melted. Order another set, put steel pulleys on it and it really goes the distance now. With steel pulleys it will never heat up and melt. They should make them that way.

50 years later, still the same
I used this inexpensive piece of exercise equipment faithfully as a teen. It works ! The pulleys are plastic and will heat up and ultimately break with high reps, but cheap to replace and so worth it. I was thrilled to see it can still be found.

Poor quality control
Since some folks like this product, I'm assuming the quality control is lacking. This product has three problems: The ropes are too short, the loops are too small for normal shoes, and the plastic covering for the loops is very rough and scrapes against the skin on my hands. If you look at the photo in the "user manual," you'll see a woman with one leg nearly straight up, one on the floor, with her head near the door, and her arms straight, with one hand next to the pulleys. This is how the product should work. Straight arms, straight legs can touch the floor. I am 5'3", and in that position, head next to the door, I cannot straighten my arms at all. My door knob is at the usual height. The product ropes are simply too short, leaving a good leg workout or a good arm workout, but not both together, which is the point of this product - a full body workout - arms, legs and core. I have had the original "door knob exerciser" forever and have worn out three sets of ropes, so I know how this system is supposed to work. I returned this product and cannot recommend it.

... item for a couple weeks and this is an excellent workout for the abdomen
I have had this item for a couple weeks and this is an excellent workout for the abdomen; however, I am only 5'3", and the ropes are barely long enough. I like exercising with this very much since I don't have to stand to use it (I have mild cerebral palsy), but feel I would get a better workout with cords that were a little longer for more range of motion. I would recommend an extension on the doorknob loop end as well. Perhaps I will purchase a door anchor (like the GoFit door anchor) to use on the hinge side of the door, as this does tend to slip off the doorknob and it would add a little room so I don't have to watch that I don't hit my head on the door! Too bad they don't make this to the original specs of the original by Jack La Lanne. Not a bad deal, it is affordable and works, but not 5-stars worth.
