Safe and Effective
I've used this trimmer for my twins from birth to now (3 months) and it's been great. Neither baby ever seems to mind me using this, and it's incredibly easy to use when either one is nursing and really not paying attention to me. It's definitely most effective when the battery is truly fully charged, as it becomes less and less effective fairly quickly as the battery runs down (kind of an obvious statement). I did find that the 0-3mo pad didn't work too well for one baby when it worked well for the other, so use your own judgement based on your child's specific needs. Bumping up my daughter from the 0-3mo from birth to the 3-6mo didn't do any harm, as she just has harder nails.Great product, worth the money and totally safe, especially if you don't want to worry at all about accidentally clipping your baby's finger.

Takes the stress out of trimming my baby's nails
This product is such a great idea! After trying to use a nail file on our newborn we moved from the file to a "safety" infant nail clipper. Sadly- we clipped his skin. Tramatizing for mom--- which is why we searched for another solution. This product is great! It comes with batteries and four different age range files. The Zo-li Buzz B enables us to very quickly- and painlessly- file our sons nails. He is three months old and we have not experienced any issues with the files not working. I've tried them on my own fingernails, and they are not strong enough. So I can see where this product will have a limited life (up to a year I believe they say). Seems to be the case with all baby products, as they grow so quickly. It is SO worth the cost, however, for the piece of mind of keeping our baby safe. LOVE!

Works well, but not perfect
I've been using this nail trimmer on my baby for four months now. I absolutely love that it is gentle and does not hurt whatsoever (it is a soft vibration to the touch, which is perfect for newborn babies). It did an amazing job filing my little one's nails during the first couple months. However, after a few months her nails weren't as soft to file and it seemed to take so much longer to file. I tried switching to the tougher grit discs, which did not seem to help much. The file was still comfortable to the touch, however my little one would get annoyed after I filed just a couple nails because it took so long and she didn't want to have her hand still for that long. I finally purchased a pair of nail scissors (the piyo piyo baby nail ones) and have used those to cut her nails, and then I smooth out the edges with the Zo-li buzz nail trimmer. I've found this to be the best of both worlds. I would definitely recommend this product in regards to the softness (you are definitely not going to hurt your baby or damage the skin with it), however if you're not crazy about the price I think you could definitely get away with carefully using baby scissors instead.

Must have!
I cannot find a way to actually clip my baby's nails and one time I clipped her finger tip when she was super small. I have tried the nail files instead of clippers, but it is a pain and takes too long. This is perfect and I can do it easily while she is playing with something in her other hand and then switch hands and she lets me do it easily. I will say - you do have to basically do this daily or for sure every two days or the nails just get too long again. This has saved my baby from many scratches on her face as she sucks her thumb with the rest of her finger splayed outward right under her eye and next to nose - so she would inadvertently scratch herself when soothing and sucking.

Not perfect, but serves its purpose
MY GOAL: Keep my baby's nails trimmed without hurting him in the process. The Zo-li serves this purpose. It does not file down the nails absolutely perfectly, but enough so the baby doesn't hurt itself. I just make sure to file every day or two. For me, it is worth the peace of mind to know I will be able to file down his nails anytime, anyplace, and not accidentally clip or poke him.Cutting baby fingernails is terrifying. I noticed this product when my baby was newborn, but I didn't want to fork out the money. I knew I could make do with clippers. Well, the clippers only worked when the baby was sleeping which was much easier to do with an immobile newborn. After accidentally, clipping my baby's finger, I switched to a nail file. It worked well, but only when the baby was asleep while nursing. And the file had a sharp point that I knew would be a future problem. But then I also had the current problem of ruining nap time by nursing the baby to sleep, filing his nails, then making him mad by putting him in the crib after he was so cozy latched on to me. Plus, he started getting lots of teeth, and that was scary for me.I couldn't keep going like this since he's not going to be nursing forever, and it was messing up his sleep schedule for the day. He is a great napper, but not when I would do his nails. I finally decided to buy this nail trimmer since I knew that I could file his nails while he was awake and it wouldn't hurt him, even if he protested during the process. When I first used this device, I wasn't too impressed since it didn't seem to file his nails down at all. But I soon realized that it files better if you use the outer edge of the circle pad, since it is moving at a greater speed than the center. I suppose that should've been obvious! :)I have been using this trimmer for about a month now with my 9-month-old and I am quite satisfied. It does file slowly, but he doesn't seem to mind it too much. If anything, he is fascinated and wants to grab the device. I put on a little baby music video and he relaxes while I file, as if he were at a spa. Occasionally he will pull his hand away and protest briefly, but then he gets distracted again. Since I can't get his nails filed as low as I could the the regular nail file, I use this trimmer every day or two. But I'm happy to do so since I can do it so easily and stress free. In reality, I file his nails faster than before since I don't have to spend time nursing him into a deep sleep. I can start right away.
