AUDIO 300 desktop mic 3.5mm

Works; but no where near worth the price
Everyone seems to say that this Mic records very well but I strongly disagree. For >$30, it's a Mic that ships from China (so it takes a long time to get, this didn't effect my rating though) and it feels really cheap and flimsy.I was using a 64 bit Windows 7 computer for what it's worth and recorded the sound using Movie Maker (I don't feel like spending money on Video SW). I followed other reviews that recommended speaking only a few inches from the Mic. However the sound was very groggy and not clear. When I record my voice just using my phone, the sound is significantly better. My voice is clear and crisp.I gave it two stars because it probably is better than using the onboard Mic on a laptop if you wanted to do live chat, but not that much better. Plus it works so it gets a star for that.

So far so good
The mics I received were USB not 3.5mm, which is completely fine with me. They are very sensitive and clear and well built. We have been using the two I bought for a month or so pretty regularly. I have nothing bad to say. The mute is a small slide switch and works fine. People on the other end of the conversation have given good remarks after asking us if we had changed our mics or what had we done to make our sound out so audible, as we have had trouble with other microphones. Although the packaging could have been a bit better, the mics arrived undamaged, have performed well beyond expectations and the price was great!

Nice mic for the money
The microphone that my computer came with was nearly unusable because it sounded murky and fuzzy. I often make skype and google hangout calls to connect with friends around the country and world, so being able to talk is important to me. I purchased this microphone based on the low price and positive reviews, and found it met the expectations set. The sound is very clear, the microphone is small and handily foldable for storage, and I no longer have friends tell me that I sound like I'm talking beneath a blanket. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a fairly small, cheap microphone to make calls or record speech. It is not, of course, what you would want to be looking for if you wish to make high quality recordings, but it does a very nice job and is study enough.

Testing 1,2,3
Not a bad mike, takes some adjusting the levels to get the right sound after a recording. Does pickup back ground noise. And I have to amplify to get the right volume.. I wrapped a piece of foam rubber around it to help with the popping p sounds and then I hold up a cheap foam rubber paint brush in front of my mouth to keep my breathing sounds down, I like it.

Inexpensive Headset
If you listen to several webinars weekly this product fills the billOnly con is the mute doesn't seem to work but many webinars give you an online muting possibilty

Clear Sound
I am using this microphone for communication online and have been told it has good clear sound. I am very happy with it because it is non-obtrusive on my desk and can sit more than 2 feet back and still be perfect for what I need.

Good for Rosetta Stone
This microphone has worked great for Rosetta Stone, and since the kids don't have to touch it to use it, it hasn't broken yet.

Very clear sounding Microphone.
Pros: Excellent sound for VOIP such as Skype or Teamspeak with a mute switch which is very useful when gaming etcCons: This Mic claims to have noise supression but it does pick up keyboard key clicks quite easily, I found that the Agc enable/disable button is the same as Mic boost which in most cases must be checked for anyone to be able to hear you on voice applications.A bit fiddly with the monitor mount supplied, takes a bit to work out where to put it, as it seems to be designed for old fashioned CRT Monitors and not flat screen Monitors. However I used the base that it comes fitted to and it's OK.Quite heavy in fact so should not move too much on ones desktop.Summary: An excellent low cost Mic sound is great very clear indeed and believe me over the years I have tried many different Mics from expensive ones to ultra cheap, this is easily the best one so far.

Good microphone - Plug and play and hardy enough for teenage use
Yes - this microphone is good. Plug and play, well angled and doesnt take much space on the desk,Its used with my son;s gaming PC. Works well for Skype and videoing so far and replaces a cheaper one that quickly stopped responding and had to be returned. The cheaper one was from a brand Kinobo. This one much better and is recommended. Its my son who uses it - so we've had it quite a few months now and its been knocked around onto the carpet occasionally etc - so its hardy enough for older children to use. Hope this review is helpful x

Good desktop mic as alternative to built-in/web cam mic.
Found that using a cheap PS3 bluetooth earpiece on my desk with wireless headphones on wasn't very clear across skype. So instead of buying a headset with a mic since I had perfectly decent headphones I opted for this after checking out reviews of quite a few other options. Testing with windows sound recorder found that the output was a lot clearer than the bluetooth earpiece. Quite happy with the sound quality for the price. Confirmed with friends that it is considerably better over Skype than previous microphone. Would buy again if I needed another cheap desktop microphone.

Waste of Money
This microphone is next to useless. I use a mixture of Skype, Cisco IP phone, WebEx audio and GoTo Meeting audio - I found that friends, colleagues and customers all reported severe audio quality problems when I used this microphone - it was unusable. I had previously been using a headset with microphone boom, however a TMJD issue means that I am no longer able to wear a headset as it triggers discomfort for me. I have now found a digital microphone, more expensive, but the audio quality is great. Basically I think you get what you pay for and cheap in this case just does not work - do waste your money on this Plantronics Audio device, spend a bit more and get something with USB digital quality.

Excellent
I needed a microphone to record songs with my guitar so I could hear myself prior to performing. The inbuilt microphone on my laptop produced diabolically bad results, so I tried this one.I'm not a hi-fi recording expert, and so I'm probably oblivious to all kinds of subtleties in recording quality. I do know that this microphone produced a clear reproduction of my voice and of the guitar with no background noise. It is better than I was expecting for this price. Exactly what I needed. I couldn't be more pleased with it.
