Fed Our Chickens During Entire Vacation!
My husband and I went out of town for 4 days and wanted to ensure that our chickens would never run out of food or water during that time. We normally free range them but didn't want to put them at risk for predator attacks. We have 7 hens and I purchased 2 sets of these so all the chickens could eat or drink at the same time . The feeders and waters lasted well beyond when we returned from our trip. None of them were less than half full.I previously used gravity feeders/waters. From now on we will use these. They keep the food fresh, and rodents out. Now instead of putting up their food every single night I just need to fill up those 20 pounds of feed and let it be until it runs out. In the 2 plus weeks I've had them there has been no mold and the food stays nice dry with no clumping. This is great considering we live in Florida. The 20 pounds of feed has lasted our 7 chickens over a week. Their only other source of food was a Purina Flock Block to keep them entertained. If you free range your flock the feed lasts even longer before you need to refill it. I still swap out the water every few days to keep the bacteria at bay. I really enjoy being able to just remove the lid and fill the feed and water up from the top.Getting them used to eating from them was easy. The feeders come with instructions on how to do this. I was able to speed up the process but putting their favorite treats inside the feeding area. It's easier if you make sure they see you put the treats in there. Use something dry like dried mealworms, oats or scratch.Long story short these are great. Buy them if you need something more secure but not overly complicated to train your chickens to eat from. They feed a small flock of 7 over a week and keep the food fresh. No tips over or leaks. Plus they come with fasteners to keep them more secure . We did not have to use those. They really saved they day when we had to leave our chickens alone. 10/10 would recommend.

Chicken waterer and feeder
I recently purchased this chicken waterer and feeder combo, and I have to say, it's been a fantastic addition to my coop! Before, I was constantly refilling water dishes that would get dirty within hours, and feed would end up scattered everywhere. This system has completely streamlined my daily chicken chores and kept my flock much happier and healthier.

Love it so much I'm buying another set!
Bought this for our 12 hens. We only bought one set to see how we like it and if it will work for my wife.My wife who is chronically ill loves her bird. So she wants to be able to care for them. Here is her review of the product from her prospect....Oh my do I love these! Worth every penny! Our girls are currently in a chicken hoop while we build there forever coop. Because of this I have to cart over anything I need each day.Pros --They are clear enough that I can see from the coop door to see if I need to fill anything before I step a foot in the coop. So I know what I need to prepare and I can load it all on my cart to bring over.-It offers a little bowl or nipple for the water system.-Water says it holds 2 gallons and it really can. Infact it can hold just a little over. Which is nice because you have a gap between the lid and the water so you don't make a mess.-Both water and feed are easy to fill.-Lids on both seem quite stable. They have not come off once.- lids are easy to grip even when my hands are really painful.-Rain has not gotten in the feed bin at all.- mounts to a wall so no getting knocked over if the girls get worked up.Cons -- if you hate stickers on things like I do your stuck with the ones on them.(pun intended) They were hard to get off and the glue residue simply won't come off.- they are plastic. So they can't take a any heavy abuse. But are not thin plastic either. Long term I have yet to find a plastic that the longevity of metal. But it's a trade off for being able to see levels without having to go in and take off the lids.- you have to remove them from the wall to clean them well. This here is really a personal thing. I only marked it down to 4 stars for cleaning because it requires a tool to get it off the wall. If this is no biggie for you then consider it really 5 stars. They were really easy to clean once off the wall. And if placed at the right hight they don't get dirty easy.-water won't work for winter. We live in NW PA. It doesn't have a heating option so in winter we can't use them.I have raised chicken for about 20 years. I have tried all kinds of watering systems and feed systems. For the cost this beats even some of our diy systems. It was easy for me to put together and put up. My hands are often inflamed and painful. This has made me caring for the birds so much easier. And being able to do things helps me not just physically... but mentally too. We are on a tight budget so cost, and efficiency matters. And because I'm sick it also has to be manageable size. I don't give 5 starts out a lot. But this is worth every one.

Effective and easy to use
They are not completely poop accumulation proof. But they work really well, and their food and water stays much cleaner now!

Fantastic water and feed system!
After 6 weeks of use, and so far they’re GREAT! Chickens took to them right away, and we’ve had zero problems with water infiltration from the AZ monsoon rains. the food stays nice and dry. Several other reviewers complained about food spillage, but I’ve had very little from my 5 bird flock as you can see in the picture.Instead of screwing them to the posts, I put them on a homemade hook system (bent nails with the heads snipped off). That way I can easily take them off for cleaning and repair.I had a slight water drip for the first day, but it stopped completely, and I have no water leaks at all. Also, the water in the tank stays pristine! The water in the cups has gotten some food bits in it early on, but even that is much less now. When I fill the tank, I just pour some water from the pitcher into the little cups, and it cleans them out just fine. This system holds enough food and water for several days for our birds, which is REALLY nice!! And so far maintenance has been non existent outside of cleaning the little water bowls out as I described.I obviously can’t speak to longevity yet, but so far I can’t say enough good things about them. GREAT system. For a matter of background, this is my second flock of chickens. My first flock was double the size, and I used the standard round hanging food and water buckets. They required constant maintenance and cleaning and my loss of food and water to spillage was a lot. These are FAR superior!
