Strong, adjustable length
Our vacuum came with a flimsy plastic tube ; this one is so sturdy and my tall husband loves that you can adjust the length so he doesn't bend his back so much. Easy to attach and use.

Better Than Original!
During some work being done in our home, the plastic "wand" of my Mighty Mite Vacuum went missing. It could not be found anywhere. I ordered the steel, telescoping wand as a replacement. It is wonderful! Had I known such a tool existed, I would have gotten it sooner and just pitched the original plastic tool. Great product, great value!

No catch or anything to hold it on to my vacuum so it keeps falling off while I'm using it. It's okay otherwise.

Rugged construction
This thing is made of metal, so it is probably going to last a lot longer than the plastic wands that came with my vacuum cleaner. The only complaint I have about it is that it doesn't stay securely attached to the nozzle of the vacuum cleaner, so it sometimes falls off. If you are barefoot when you vacuum and the wand falls on your foot, you are definitely going to know about it. My vacuum cleaner is a Eureka and this wand is made to be compatible with it, so I am not sure why it doesn't stay securely attached. It is a friction fit rather than having any kind of latch, so it might be that I just need to push more firmly when I insert the hose nozzle. With it being plastic going into metal, I would be concerned that too much force might break the nozzle. I like that it is telescoping rather than being a fixed length. It's easy to adjust the length so I can go from vacuuming the floor, to vacuuming the cushions on a sofa, to using the bristle brush for cleaning the dust off of a ceiling fan.

Metal telescoping to replace two plastic pieces that push together! Worth the extra cost!
This is the original metal telescoping wand that used to ship with the Sanitaire SC3683. Unfortunately that machine now ships with two cheap plastic wands you have to put together. This wand is good quality and makes vacuuming easier, worth the additional price. Standard to fit most vacuums.
