CasioCasio Battery Rechargeable CTL1616F

I bought this to keep my old Casio solar powered watch working correctly. It works just like the original because it is the same as the original battery. This is a rechargeable battery and is the correct battery to use so the watches won't get damaged.

I purchased this battery so I could replace the battery in my best friend's CASIO G-Shock watch. It is a special battery as it is a rechargeable battery that the watch recharges using solar power. It installed easily and I returned the watch to my best friend (84 years young!) last weekend. He is happy to have it back. I will buy this again when needed.

A perfect fit for my Casio G-Shock GW-2310. Need very pointed tweezers to unlock the existing battery enclosure (and some very small screw drivers). I also needed to remove the screws holding the straps (in order to remove the back cover) even after removing the 4 screws holding it. A little tricky, but visual instructions can be found on YouTube.

This battery is rechargeable and works as advertised with my Casio Mudman

Thks particular battery (CTL1616F) is the OEM replacement for the battery in the Casio WaveCeptor WVA-470 series wristwatch (among others, I'm sure). Easy installation and I was back up-and-running in just a few minutes' time. For Casio Solar Tough watches, do not purchase an alkaline battery, as the watch charges the battery via light exposure to its face.

The battery was easy to install, although I had to chrge it with an external charger before installing, since the watch sat in a drawer for a long time after the original battery refused to hold a charge. Still trying to get the watch to display the correct time, though, and the watch still quits running once I take it out of the light. My 5 star review is for the battery, which is a lot less expensive than having a jeweler install it...which might cost what a new Casio solar watch would cost. If I cannot get the watch to run properly, I am guessing that the movement is shot. This watch was originally purchased in 2005, and ran as it should until a couple of years ago.

Bought a used GW-6900 that needed a new capacitor. This is an OEM-replacement unit and Panasonic is a very well-respected battery manufacturer. Works as intended.
