Whirlpool 63580 Dispenser Liquid Fabric Softener

I am posting this to help you decide if this item will fit your washing machine before you order it. I had trouble figuring that out when I was ordering so allow me to help. I cannot attest to the functionality of this item because I just received it today. Please read other reviews for that.I own a Roper Model #RTW4516FW. This is the same as the Amana Model #NTW4516FW. They are both made by Whirlpool.To install this item, you must remove the top cap on the agitator. You won't need any tools for this. It pops right off. The Dispenser then fits down and snaps into place inside the agitator. Measure the inside dimensions.From the inside edge of the shoulder to the bottom of the dispenser is 4-5/8 inches. See picture. With the original cap removed from the agitator, make sure you have enough depth for the dispenser to fit. Mine is a close fit. The diameter of the dispenser is a little over 3-1/2 inches. There are tabbed lines that hold the dispenser in the agitator. I can't get an exact measurement but the hole in my agitator is barely under 3-5/8 inches and it fits perfectly snug.The dispenser I received is a Whirlpool Factory Certified Part and Made in the USA.

Was pleasantly surprised at how well it fit my machine, and how easy it was to install. I just used a flat head screwdriver to pop off the cap on my washing machine tub spindle. Then I snapped this in the place of it. Took 30 seconds and minimal effort. I've used it at least 50 times and it dispenses just fine every time. I am beyond pleased - worth the money to add a fabric softener option to my simple washing machine.

I just moved into a new rental and noticed the washing machine didn't have fabric softener dispenser. I could have wait on maintenance crew to get me one but it was cheap here on Amazon.This accessory allows you to automatically release fabric softener during final rinse cycle without having to come back and stopping the machine and doing it manually.I am using it Amana top loader which is pretty much cheaper version of WhirlPool brand. It works really good.

Does an okay job of dispensing fabric softner but it depends on your washer. If your washer spins while it drains the water and then stops to fill with rinse water your good. But if at any time it stops spinning and starts up again your softner is being lost down under the basket and pumped out with the water from the spin cycle. Not sure if there is a way around it other than a downy ball. Works best with a full load and normal cycle. Permanent press or a small or medium load seems to just waste the softner.

We have an Amana washing machine, and the manual stated this was the fabric softener dispenser for it. Considering we use fabric softener and were sick of waiting for the right time to put it in, I bought this dispenser for ease of use and convenience. No more waiting for the right time, now we just load the fabric softener just before we start the load. Perfect fit and easy to use for our washing maching!

has hole on bottom, not sure if it works as best as possible.

As others have mentioned, this is an original Whirlpool replacement part, an exact fit for many washers. I got the exact OEM part number from the repair clinic website after entering the machine's model number. The original dispenser had visible black stuff inside after 20 years, even after repeated rinsings with hot water. The dispenser cannot be opened to clean it. I don't know if if was lint or black mold, but at this price it was worth replacing.

I finally have a fabric softener dispenser after breaking the previous one. It fit in the Haier RWT360BW, not as securely as I would like but it does the job.
