Amazing tadem kayak - even in the surf
After returning a tadem kayak from another manufacture I was worried this too wouldn't be sturdy or durable. I am proud to say that I was wrong, very wrong. I purchased this kayak after reading some other reviews and for the price point - had it shipped to a friend in Hawaii 2 months befrore we even got there (ordered early so the product was in stock). My husband and I used this kayak in the ocean every day for the past 2 months! We were in calm seas, semi-rough seas, 6 ft. swells and in some pretty good surf, not to mention some really shallow spots too. We are both very impressed with the durability and sturdiness of this kayak. It was awesome and lightwieght to carry every day back and forth to the beach. I also paddled solo from both the rear seat and the front seat - it tracks through the water great - it isn't tippy like hard kayaks - we even went snorkeling right out of it and getting back in was easy. There is ample leg room and the seats are quite comfortable. This was the best purchase we made and really made our vacation enjoyable!!!!

Very pleased
I went with Advanced Elements for the quality that they seemed to engineer into their products. Customer reviews played a large part in my decision with this kayak. Have used it twice now. Once on a fast flowing river and once on a calm lake. So far very happy. The lagoon two was sluggish with two guys on board and takes some strength to maneuver when quick turns on flowing water are needed but that's to be expected. It was relatively nimble with one occupant in the rear. Very stable even in mild white water. Would not tip or flip even when I fully expected to. Construction is rugged and the best in an inflatable I've owned so far. Pockets and straps are minimal but well built and conviniently placed. Great boat for day trips and beginners without river experience like myself. In the future I'll be looking to Advanced Elements for a one-man version as well.

Fun, but questionable durability
This tandem kayak is easy to inflate and to travel with. It was a lot of fun, but I question the durability of it like another reviewer. I am not sure if I received a returned kayak that was repaired and just had a lemon. In a spot on the underside of the kayak, there is a spot that looks like it was opened and sewn. After following all of the instructions for care and inflation and deflation, one of the large valves developed a slow leak and one ot the other smaller valves just sprung a leak before it was filled. I've used the kayak only 6 times in under two months. I'm very disappointed and will be returning the kayak tomorrow. I am hoping for more luck with my next inflatable kayak.Laurie

Not worth it
I bought this for light weight traveling. It takes very long to set up and take down, hard to clean and it MUST be dry before putting away or it will get moldy. It works okay, not great, tracks a lot with one and really slow with 2 people. You must buy the separate hull rib and double action pump so that adds to the cost. I have hard shell kayaks and a couple old coleman inflatables that I bought for $35 about 15 years ago and as far as inflatables, the Colemans are far easier to deal with, travel with, set up, take down, paddle, etc. I have always wanted one of these and I don't really know why now. Update: used about 5 times and a valve went bad. Contacted the company to get valve replacement and they said I would have to buy a new blow up part. I made my review a 1 star because of his. Cool concept not done well.

Great Kayak
Living in an apartment with limited space, an inflatable kayak was our only option. I was skeptical at first, thinking that this thing would pop if I hit anything. After getting it set up for the first time and giving it a proper inspection, I realized that the build quality for the air chambers was exceptional. I've work with inflatable boats in the Navy, so believe me when I say that this kayak lives up to my high expectations. It's fun and fast, and the best part is that it takes up very little space.A few notes that will help you out:Buy the Advanced Elements backbone accessory - It helps with tracking and stabilityBuy the Advanced Elements double action pump - It inflates twice a fast, pushing air on the upstroke and downstrokeRead the directions and set it up first BEFORE going on your adventure - This was the best single piece of advice given to meA regular paddle may better for use with this kayak due to its width - just my opinion

Comfortable but not durable
This product indeed offers very comfortable ride. My friend and I had a lot of fun paddling it in rivers and ponds for about half a year. Then one of the inflatable tubes developed a crack in the rear. I fixed it and continued ridding it until the second crack appeared a couple of months later. This time it couldn't be fixed because there's always a new crack after repairing the previous one. The manufactuer should seriously consider improving the quality of the materail they selected.

Love, love, love this kayak!
Thoroughly enjoyed my third paddling adventure in this outstanding kayak. In each case, we were on the water less than 15 minutes after parking the car. Hint: Inflate it the first time at home to learn how simple it is. This kayak is well-designed (many unexpected features like the gear bongies, storage pouch with compass and several hooking grommets), well-constructed and VERY comfortable. HINT: don't inflate the seat cushions all the way for a lower, more comfortable paddling position. Easy to get in/out at a boat ramp, dock or from in the water. Yesterday, my wife and I couldnt resist to urge to slip into the river for a refreshing dip. It was easy to get out and back in. The kayak handles well, seems to be very hydro-dynamic and is very easy to maneuver. We live in Eastern PA and are planning to use our kayak on nearby lakes, rivers and ocean/bay well into the fall. Highly recommend this kayak for anyone who loves outdoor activity, wants to see familiar and unfamilar places from a different perspective and appreciates design, quality, convenience and comfort.
