Works great !!! My Maytag Dryer is working great!!

Used it to replace the fan on a 20 plus year old Maytag dryer. Went on fine and took care of the problem. I am still waiting on the front snap ring washer that was broken , but the new fan blade fits so tight with its mounting clip that it stays securely in place. The ring snap washer should be here soon. I want to alert people that do not work on dryers often that the belt should not be routed around the big groove on the drum . That is how I did it and the belt kept slipping when there was a full load of clothes in it. I saw that there was a discoloration next to the groove that looked like a wear mark that ran all the way around the drum . Once I placed the belt on the wear mark as opposed to the groove it worked like new, So inspect your belt's location to make sure where to line it back up as it is easy for it to shift as you are working on it.

My Maytag Performa gas dryer’s blower wheel shattered. Maytag’s part numbers did not match up to most replacements. Repairing the dryer quickly was very important in this busy summer season. Thanks Prime for one day delivery! The replacements diameter is smaller, width is the same. Installation was straight forward. Dryer repaired! Discharge flow is strong. A complete cleaning of all lint is important. It may take a week to get the original Maytag replacement. The Maytag plastic is very brittle in comparison to the generic replacement, possibly due to years of baking moving heat. Time will tell!

I took my girlfriend's truck into the dealership to have the AC and blower unit checked out. They informed me that the AC Resistor and blower motor had gone bad and they wanted over $800 to replace it. I checked out a couple of youtube videos and it seemed like a simple fix so I ordered this one and an AC resistor. The repair took me a little over 30 minutes in her 2010 GMC Yukon. The part was an exact match and easy to install. The most impressive part is the force of the blower and it is very quiet. I recommend this to every do it yourselfer out there as an alternative to the high price of professional parts and labor!

The wheel fit well, is nice and quiet compared to the old one. However, I managed to break the snap-ring connector when I removed it, so it would have been nice to include one of those (in addition to the squeeze-connector thing, which I didn't break). The replacement part was cheap (2 for 85 cents), but I had to figure out what to get and drive to a hardware store to get it. Minor nit, the product was good.

Our middle aged 'Maytag' dryer sounded like it had dozen potatoes banging around inside. I found info & videos on net saying to check for loose plastic fan on main motor shaft. And do this before digging further into dryer. They were right. Gave Amazon our model number and found affordable replacement fan. After shutting off power, it took about and hour round trip, to replace the fan. Good chance to clean out very front of machine. Very quiet now, dryer sounds like new. Hope new fan lasts but, they're cheap and easy to swap. good luck.
