OtterBox COMMUTER SERIES Case for Samsung Galaxy S7 - Frustration Free Packaging - BLACK

I just got this OtterBox about a week ago and I love it so far! It seems very sturdy and durable. I like the slim and sleek profile of it and it still fits in my back pocket comfortably. I've already dropped it a few times and the case has done its job. I like how it has the beveled edges that protect the screen, if it hits screen side down. The buttons are a little bit stiff but I feel like they are getting softer/more broken in every day. The only thing I can say I didn't really like about this is the headphone cover and the charger port cover are annoying. It's hard to get your earphone jack or charger in because the dust flaps get in the way and are stiff. Hopefully they soften up over time and become easier... (although I just bought wireless headphones and I'm going to order a wireless charger to remedy this situation). But other than that this is an awesome product and I will definitely buy one again! Overall 5 stars!

I am responsible for purchasing mobile phones and accessories for our employees. We replace all of our employees' phones and accessories every two years. I was first introduced to the OtterBox Commuter product by our Sprint person around 2011. I had reservations about using OtterBox Commuter cases due to the high cost, but gave them a try based on his recommendation.My first OtterBox Commuter fell out of vehicle at a gas station, landed screen facing up, and was driven over by another vehicle as I watched. The OtterBox Commuter case had a few gouges from contact with concrete, but no other cracks or damage. To my surprise, the phone (HTC EVO 3D) was completely unharmed and the screen worked perfectly. I continued to use that handset and case until our next device upgrade. I have continued to buy OtterBox Commuter products for each generation of handsets since then (Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy S5, and now Galaxy S7) and have had no problems receiving warranty replacements for a few cases that have failed over the years.This OtterBox case for Samsung Galaxy S7 was received as expected. Same durable construction that we have come to expect. It was unclear if this OtterBox Commuter would include a screen protector due to conflicting information in the Amazon listing. Each OtterBox Commuter for S7 that we received DID include screen protector, but we were not satisfied with appearance after multiple attempts to apply the protectors to the handsets. The edges would not lay flat against the left/right edges of the phone or would raise after a few days. This appears to be a design issue, so I did not bother requesting a warranty replacement. Instead, we purchased the  ArmorSuit MilitaryShield Samsung Galaxy S7 Screen Protector  at $8 each which was much easier to apply and has not raised on the edges.If we had paid retail price of $35 for this item and the item was advertised with a screen protector, I would have rated 4/5 stars due to the screen protector design issue. I did not deduct a star from the OtterBox rating since part of the listing DID say that a screen protector was not included, and we could easily justify the cost of a separate screen protector purchase at the discounted $13 we paid for each of these cases.

I should state first off, that I have not "put this case to the test". The farthest it's fallen was from the table to seat of a chair, and even then, meh wasn't far.This the first case I have put on a phone in years. I've had Incipio cases, all of which broke. I was considering Spigen cases, but glad I got this. It feels very solid in the hand, yet I don't feel as though it add too much bulk to the phone. It still feels like a "5in phone". I like that the hard plastic stretches to both top and bottom, not just the sides. Alot of the cases I was considering just had the soft inner shell at top and bottom, and well that just seemed problematic to me.EDIT:I admit that I did not install the screen protector that came with it. I don't really care for screen protectors.I like this case. I think i like this case more than any other i've ever had. I just hope i never have to find out how well it protects my phone.EDIT 2:I finally dropped my phone. It fell from the height of my pocket to concrete. Cart wheeled a good 7 or 8 times. No damage to my phone at all. Glad I got this case.

It has a nice bulk to it that doesn't make it too bulky, keeping it slim, but still offering a good amount of protection. I like the feel of it, how the soft part of the case isn't too soft and instead it is nice and sturdy. The hard part of the case is nice and smooth but still has texture to give grip. The case is a perfect fit for the phone--hugging the phone tightly. Nice and sturdy case. The box had the screen protector included as well, even though the description on Amazon said no screen protector, so it was a nice surprise. But the screen protector is a little sticky after applying it, but not too bad. The only thing is that since the case is so tight on the phone, using other screen protectors could be difficult if the screen protector spans the whole front of the phone--as the case could lift up the screen protector edges since it is such a tight fit. But having this tight fit is definitely nice and feels secure.

Item had arrived in the mail fairly quickly. Protects the phone & seems sturdy enough as of this writing.
