Awesome purchase!
Great book! Bought it used from Amazon Warehouse Deals and was a little worried at what quality I would get since it said "Acceptable" condition. None the less, the book I received is brand new! It was actually still wrapped in foil when I got it. I looked through it and it seems no one has ever used it, the pages are blank and look unused. I already pretty much knew I wouldn't receive a MasteringBiology access code and was planning on buying one (no biggie), but as I was flipping through the book I found an unopened one! It was completely sealed and the code still covered up (you have to scratch the area in order to see your code). I haven't used it yet since I bought the book for the upcoming fall semester but I will sure do so once it starts. I couldn't be more happy with my decision to buy used. I received a brand new $200+ textbook (at my college bookstore) for under $70!

Biology is cool, man.
Wow, such an amazing book for such an amazing class but be prepared.. If you're just begging to take Biology don't get too confident after you ace the first couple of tests because the beginning chapters are a breeze but once you get to the goods it's anything but easy to comprehend. In fact, as simple as they put it and amazing as this book it's just wow... This s*** is complicated, but nevertheless it's awesome. I really loved the companion website but it depends on the level of difficulty your professor puts your homework and quizzes at apparently because at one point my professor said she messed up and put it on the highest difficulty and HOLY S***. But yeah, much awesome, such wow, great book.

Garbage.
I am now halfway through my semester and I officially think that this book does a terrible job of getting its information across. It does a very poor job of explaining things to you and often I find that GOOGLING the information teaches me better than this book every could. The book itself is heavy and too expensive but sadly I was forced to rent this piece of garbage that would be better suited for kindling than teaching. I have the highest grade in my class and have received only A's on my exams but I think this book had very little to do with that. The online content, Mastering Biology, is even WORSE than the book itself. Whoever designed that Mastering Biology outlines and homework assignments(the hints are stupid and offer no assistance and once again I usually end up Googling for assistance) just seems to have never even read the book before. Homework assignments are long, painful, and offer no way of figuring out the answers because the information isn't even in the text book (I usually get above 80% on homework assignments). ALSO I had to pay 70 dollars just to access the GARBAGE system that they use to "teach" us. Pearson is a disgusting company that does not care about the students at all, you shovel money out of your pocket for a subpar book.

Review for Campbell Biology Textbook
I used this product for my Intro to Pop Bio class for my freshman year in college and it has been great to be able to rent it cheaper rather than paying full price through the school. It was in good shape when I received it and I plan on renting it again!

If you have an iPad spring for the E-Text
This book covers Biology I and Biology II at my college. Excellent reference material. I have found the e-text and online practice tests to be most useful during Biology I. While they may not cover every answer out there; they definitely help with the core material. Between those and your lecture notes an A is definitely within reach.

Exactly What I Needed
I was a bit skeptical about buying this through amazon especially since other people weren't receiving an access code but I received everything as advertised 2 days after I ordered it, just in time for class. The access code was included and I saved money. Pretty happy about it and would definitely recommend it.

This book...
This book was in good condition. Just make sure with your teacher needs this MasteringBiology code. My teacher needed a different course access code but used the same book. I had to purchase the code from the book store at my university.

I hate biology. Simple as that
I hate biology. Simple as that. But what can ya do when you have to take the class. This book is heavier than a bag of rocks. It explains things well. But really screw this book. It came in great condition and arrived fast. I'm glad I was able to rent this book because I can't imagine what I would do with this book after the semester is over besides use it as a paper weight and a sitting book for the cats to rest on.
