It was alright
My cousin gave me this and at the time and I really wanted it. I had a 10" CRT TV with one composite and one coax input. I had myself the original Xbox and a couple of plug and play video game consoles that were basically arcade games. Whatever I did with it, couldn't of really change the video quality or sound quality because I wasn't in that field at the time. A few years later, I begin to notice on my Xbox 360 and my Wii console, I saw unusual amounts of static on the screen. It wasn't enough to make myself hate this component/composite switch, but it's enough for me to sell it and move on. I also used it to switch RJ45 internet connections between consoles because I had only one connection and my room and it was a pain to switch them all out.Pros:It us a great basic switch for someone at the age of 14-16.It does component, composite, l&r audio, Ethernet, and S-video. It has three inputs that include all of what I just said and a couple of extra audio inputs, and a four set of connections in the front. The front has a composite connection with L&R audio input and an S-video input.Reliable, sturdy, no electric power neededCons:Rare to find as of today. It doesn't do HDMI or VGAIt doesn't use electric power to enhance performance and eliminate static of newer consoles. On the front, it doesn't have component or an Ethernet port.

Cheap product for good profit?
It's obvious they've skimped on quality. Anything coaxial comes in with bad interference, RCA connectors are better but not by much. Whites run into blacks, picture overall is subpar.I actually returned the first (from the store) in hopes a second would work better, no such luck. I'm going to just toss the one I have and buy a decent selector.Note: I've only rated this as a two, because I reserve "1" for products that fail 80% of the time or above, or products that fail completely to deliver advertised functions.

Not All that Bad
I own this because i only have 2 Component inputs on my TV (a 43 inch Westinghouse 1080p TV) and I use this to play my PSP, Playstation 2, and Xbox through component, and I have not had any problems with it. I also use it to play my Gamecube but you have to run a seperate Yellow Composite cable to use the 4th input, but if your like me and own a splitter cable, you can split the 4th inputs audio and plug in a S-video device and hook it through your TV if its like mine and only has 1 Svideo and 1 Composite together and it saves you a little money. This product is as good as you can get if the device isnt powered by an adapter and This is what i think people dont understand. But in my own experience, a great product, and it isnt too bad.

THIS IS TERRIBLE
This is the worst switch box. It gave both audio and video interference on my PS2 and my Gamecube, and was so bad I had to get rid of it. It also needs a separate AC outlet. Completely worthless.
