Excellent upgrade
The threads of the in/out ports on my plastic pump head on my March pump were easily cross threaded. Swapping out this stainless pump head was extremely easy. It works flawlessly. And with my stainless steel snaplock fittings it looks great.

Works great and is a great upgrade to plastic
The only reason I didn't give these 5 stars is because I have a 13 year old Chugger pump and a 12 year old March pump. While they work you will have to use your old plastic collars. The new ones that come with these pump heads are too deep and don't allow the magnet to properly spin the impeller. Once we figured that out it pumps better than they have in years.

Excellent replacement head for March 815 pump
I replaced the plastic head with this steel one on my March 815 pump, and reused the impeller that came with the original pump. Everything fit perfectly, and I was able to no longer worry about cross threading. If anything, with the new orientation, I'm able to more easily prime the pump, and hold a prime than when I had the original poly head mounted vertically. This was a great investment to prolong the life of my existing pump.

Disengages with hot water and full flow
Regularly have to cycle power because the magnet disengages with hot water and full flow. This is likely due to close to boiling water causing steam bubbles that creates too much turbulence in the pump. I got stainless steel head because I wanted to use it for boiling liquid.

Works as intended
arrived well packed, did not include screws for attaching the head to the motor body, but luckily i had some. A bit noisier than polysulphone march heads, but they definitely have more flow and pressure.

I own a March 315HF (high flow) pump and through ...
I own a March 315HF (high flow) pump and through mishap broke the polysulfone head by droppage. While March has a pump with a stainless head they apparently do not sell it individually and I wasn't willing to purchase another plastic head.Enter Chugger. I will admit skepticism at the outset but the first time I fired this thing up and after getting it primed I became quite impressed. In the past I could run my pump at full tilt without any problems during my mash, now it has so much flow and suction that I have to restrict it a bit or I get a stuck mash. Backing that up, while transferring, in the past I could lay a hose into my fermenter at full force without issue and attend other things, this pump had enough force to push the 1/2" line right out! Took me 30 minutes to clean that mess up and I caught it within 3 seconds!I haven't (and can't at this point) do a comparison but I can feel the higher pressure while holding the line and with my 2 previous incidents, I am convinced that it is generating a much higher flow rate and as such, probably higher head and everything else that comes with higher pressure.Next pump I buy will be a full stainless chugger, for sure.

Best brewing upgrade for the money.
I bought this upgrade for my Chugger pump. I cheaped out on my pump when I bought it. The Poly head worked fine but I wished I had spent the extra money for stainless. Fits perfectly, machining is great, runs quiet.

I dropped the pump on the head and broke it and the SS head was a nice upgrade. Fits fine and works great
Replaced a broken Poly head on a March pump. I dropped the pump on the head and broke it and the SS head was a nice upgrade. Fits fine and works great!
