Pancake Puffs Aebleskiver Pan

Pan is seasoned and works perfectly for making Aebleskiver. The accessories are cheap and didn't impress me at all.

I bought my wife the Pancake Puff for Christmas, and she was very happy to get it. The first thing we noticed as we started using it was that it is not non-stick as they claim. You have to keep using butter or some kind of non-stick spray with each batch, or they'll be impossible to turn over. Also, be mindful of how hot you turn it up, or they'll keep coming out bad. My last criticism has to do with the flipping sticks - they're barely usable. They've got to come up with some sort of specialized flipping tool for these things. The sticks are really nothing more than kabob skewers.All criticism aside, once you get used to some of the trickier aspects of it, making and eating pancake puffs is really fun. Kind of like most pancakes, the first few are not pretty, and barely edible. After that, they look good, they taste great, and they're just fun. Now my wife is looking forward to trying out cornbread puffs, brownie puffs, and lots of other puff craziness.When making pancake puffs, we use butter to grease the pan (so no butter on the finished puffs) then we shake some powdered sugar on top and drizzle them with syrup. Mom, Dad, and the kids gobble them up very quickly. My only wish is that they were faster to make, so we could have more right away when we're done with the first batch.

I was concerned because of some of the reviews, but this pan is great. I looked up youtube videos to learn the technique and found it very easy to do. I've only used a pretty simple pancake recipe so far but will experiment more. I have no idea whether other pans make larger puffs but these are a great size and three puffs are filling. They are nicely rounded when you use the right technique so I'm guessing that people who didn't get round puffs just flipped them like a pancake. And I have had no sticking issues. I use less than a teaspoon of oil for all 7 puffs.The only issue I will mention is that the package does not contain all the items pictured or described. It came with the turning sticks, recipe book, and handle cover/

This item works well with plain pancakes. However, the pan is much smaller than it looks on tv or in the ad. The puffs come out very small and it takes a very long time to cook them as you must keep the heat low with cast iron. I tried the brownie puff recipe that is included in the kit and they did not come out at all. The puffs are also very difficult to turn in the pan to cook the other side. They are fun and yummy once they are done, but somewhat difficult to make.

Sorry, folks, but we had to return this Puff Pancake Kit soon after we received it. It just did not work as advertised. First we made pancake puffs: they did not rise as shown, but were flat rounds. We tried another recipe: same thing, and they were not easy to turn. Next we tried brownies: they were not done in center, but when we let them cook a little longer, they tasted burned on the outside. It was just such a disappointment, that we thought it best to send back. Of course, we paid for the shipping both coming and going plus a restocking charge so we "paid" to find out it just didn't work.

Boxes were both damaged. The box it was sent in barely taped to keep together. The product box was torn the pan handle was sticking out. The product was not new it looked like it was a return. The plunger cap had a part of it missing. Definitely very displeased. Need a return order label sent please and tyvm. Sad to have spent the amt of money on yours instead of new one which was less.

I bought this same item about 10 years ago for my grandkids. They LOVE Pancake Puffs & even now that they are teenagers, they still love Pancake Puffs. I couldn't get the pan seasoned correctly so I gave up & use a non-stick spray - I took the easy way out. We bought a summer home in another state so I needed another pan for that house too! So now I have 2!

Awesome product. We got this for making Indian breakfast called Paddu/Paniharam/Guli Appa. It makes nice Paddu and feels like better than what we get in India!!!!. We even took one which we used earlier to India for my mom!!!. Very nice pan and the cover for the handle helps to hold the pan while taking out the Paddu. We even tried the pancake puffs in it and it came out very nice.
