Review with 1.5 weeks.
This monitor comes with every single cable in the box, a good stand and a decent out of box picture with a couple of minor issues.Plus:Fast response time even with all of the connections offered on this model, stand is solid but very deep ( more on that later ) and the pictures is good but needs some dialing in based on your room brightness and some other factors.Minus:This monitor is not recognized or registered with Windows 7's display port data base or even Nvidia for that matter. There are issues with Display port that I haven't been able to solve yet. This might get fixed over time, just be prepared to use DVI when it comes to extending your desktop for now. My issues involved dual displays via gtx 670. One was connected via dvi, the other ( asus 29 inch ) via display port. After about a week, windows or the nvidia control panel was unable to save the display settings after I attempted to re-extend my monitor from my dell ultrasharp. Booting into safe mode with only the asus monitor attached and running windows display drivers, I didn't have any problems enabling the monitor but back in normal boot, things were still impossible to get working. Luckily my card has two dvi slots so this wasn't a problem for me but this is a major complaint, even if its just with windows 7 or a nvidia driver for those with few connections. I'll keep on testing this issue for the next couple of weeks and see if I find a solution or the next nvidia driver gives an update.---The panel - bright and clear but not perfect:Bleeding at the bottom left and right corners for about an inch upwards is minor but noticeable with a bright white background or very dark scenes. Again, minor but its there. The stand is nice and solid but the display sits closer towards you than you'd probably like. It was probably done to be more stable, but if this thing could sit just a little bit further back from you it would've been nicer.Speakers: alright for the basics, with the next model they could improve their placement. ASUS, plz improve their housing and closer to bottom edge of panel placement with down firing orientation.500 bucks! So why this display vs some of the other models going for less than 450 or even 400???Asus has done a good job with their absolute response rate. If you do any type of fps gaming, this is worth it if you're not on a tight budget. No dead pixelsIt doesn't have any daisy chain display port awesome sauce functionality like the AOC or even the input tiling but it does come with quality cables for each port so whatever. ( most people that will use two or three displays have a decent gpu with enough ports anyways. This also allows for a faster response rate by bypassing the monitor display board.)Stand is good and the bezel is pretty nice. If you're going to stack two of these, flip the top one upside down so that you have the least amount of bezel. 34 inch 4k monitor from LG is coming out at this ratio, so actually don't do that if you've got a little bit of time to wait...I'll update this review in the next coming weeks. So far, good monitor.Did I mention that display port was a pain in the B@!%

FAILED after less than 10 months!
UPDATE: I have downgraded my rating from 5 stars to 1 due to product failure. Last night, after less than 10 months of ownership this monitor suddenly developed a vertical red line from the top to the bottom of the screen. I have tested cables, tested my video card and covered every possibility in the hope that there was some other explanation but the monitor has definitely failed and I am not happy about it.*The following is no longer relevant: I just received this monitor several hours ago and from my first impression upon opening the box to my use of it now, I love it! The resolution is amazing! Movies look stunning , as do images. I am not a fan of glossy screens so having a matte screen was important to me. It's perfect. The stand is not the typical cheap one that usually ships with monitors. It's very stable and adjustable in terms of height and viewing angle. The control panel options feel very intuitive and easy to use. It ships from the factory preset at 92 percent brightness. It took me all of 10 seconds to find the corresponding button and adjust the brightness to a lower setting. ASUS get's high marks from me for including a full selection of cables, including an HDMI cable. I'm also happy to report no dead pixels or any other defect. This monitor is very sleek and looks great on my desk.If you're considering this monitor, one thing that I will point out is the total edge to edge 12.5 inch height. This may not be for everyone. My typical habit when browsing the web or using Photoshop, etc. is that I don't tend to ever use that extra space at the top of my previous standard height monitor anyway, so I knew this would be right for me but some people may not feel the same way so think about how you utilize your current screen space when making your decision. The payoff comes in the usable side to side space!Keep in mind that if you're thinking of buying this, your video card needs to be capable of handling the maximum 2560x1080 resolution to get the most out of it.

Thin green line ruins a good display
After a few days of using this monitor, I had the same issue as other reviewers: a thin green vertical line appeared on the right side of the display. Nothing I did seemed to get it to go away; it would just intermittently pop up and stay for a few minutes and then would leave on its own. I tried updating the display driver with no success. Screen captures did not capture the green line which told me this was not a software issue. I decided not try my luck any further and returned the monitor.I've read in reviews of may different Asus products that quality control is an issue. If you get a "good" one, people are largely satisfied because the price is cheaper. The picture on this display overall was pretty good and I liked the widescreen aspect ratio. So if you're willing to go through returns if need be until you get a good model, that will work. But I'd still have concerns about the long term quality of this product. In my case, I bought a Dell 27" QHD monitor instead.

Faded Corner Viewing but Otherwise Good Picture - Great Stand
Good picture, expect for back-light glow in the corners. This really knocks in down a peg for me. I thought buying an IPS monitor would mean a consistent viewing experience from all parts of the screen, but the corners fade a bit from a central head location. The stand is top notch though.

I was great while it lasted.
It was great while it lasted. I purchased the monitor and I was very excited to use it. There is a clear sharp image that allows for multi-taskings. Videos are clear at full screen. But then suddenly one day the monitor didn't work any more. I got weird lines at the bottom. I took the monitor to a local tech store and I was told that to fix it would be $250. For that price I could just buy a new monitor that must longer than a few months.

Dont buy.
Do not buy... if you need the display port to function.I took a chance on this product despite the warnings from others about the display port being wonky... Well i should of taken their reviews more seriously. The display port died less then 1 day after receiving the monitor. I do not have the time to return this screen so i'm forced to buy an adapter which is still not optimal for my needs.(FYI: i am 100% certain that it is the display port, i troubleshooted all the ports)
