Safety first
I've installed these Loft Lid downlight covers over all my downlights now. They are quick to fit, just squirt a line of silicon round the edge and press down. You can then insulate right over the downlight.We had an issue with condensation in the loft due to warm moist air leaking past the lights. With these lids installed, that is no longer an issue.If you want to get your insulation sorted in the loft, then you have to fit these Loft Lids.

Quick and easy
Installed these to cover a gap in loft insulation which was causing drafts through the ceiling. Although led bulbs, not halogen, better to be safe. Quick and easy to fit over the bulbs, packed over with insulation and job done. Good quality, thick moulded plastic - probably a bit expensive when you think about it, but it serves its purpose and didn’t take much time, so job done.
