Poor Quality
Purchased this partly for my daughter who has an afro and for me from a nostalgic perspective. Back then the plastics used were sturdy and held the teeth in place to the point they would bend. This comb I ordered is made of inferior, slimmer quality plastic. My daughter lost 3 teeth from the comb within the first few minutes of use. So I attempted to fix it by heating up the metal tooth and pushing it back into place. However the cheap plastic didn’t hold. After a few more uses, more teeth fell out. I ended up tossing the comb in the trash.Do not purchase this product if you have an afro over 3 inches long and it’s thick.

BEST COMB EVER FOR TANGLES - from a motorcycle rider.
I have thick long soft hair and I am from Guam so my hair is similar to Asain race hair type so I can't speak to its effectiveness for other types of hair but for my hair this comb is a dream. I had one of these for 30+ years, since I was in high school in the early 80s and I'm tender headed and it was the only comb I could use to detangle my hair. I rode a motorcycle in a state that didn't require a helmet for a few years and the tangles in my hair were atrocious, this comb was packed in my saddlebags and I didn't go anywhere on the bike without it. Yes after 30 years the comb I carried with me the handle actually broke when I tried forcing it through a tangle so I used the broken comb and decided to see if it was on Amazon and when I found it, it was like finding a long lost and cherished friend. Before finding it on Amazon, over the years I would look for it every beauty supply store I had time to look in just to have a replacement, and when went to a salon to get my hair colored or styled I would bring this comb with me because the stylists I went to never had a comb that would go through my hair without hurting my tender head. (I am a big baby when it comes to combing the tangles out of my hair). So if you are looking for a comb that will get the tangles out of your hair without hurting your head, give this one a try.

Prongs fell out after 2-3 uses
Hey guys - listen to the 1-2 star reviews on this one, I got this a few weeks ago and the prongs started falling out almost immediately. At least 6 (almost half) of them have fallen out so far, plus the handle isn't very sturdy to begin with. I was thinking about super gluing but I saw someone say they tried that and didn't work. This one is a dud unfortunately.

You get what you pay for
I use it to split English muffins and bagels. Works great but the tines/teeth tend to pull out of the rib and have to be pulled out of the bread. Not the end of the world, but …

It's not seamless
I bought this comb because I was looking for a seamless comb. I was disappointed because it does have a seam where the plastic meets the mental. The handle is not sturdy but is instead wobbly. I wouldn't recommend the purchase of this comb, not at that price, I think it was too expensive for a mass produced comb.
