Pentel Mechanical Pencil Lead, Ain Stein, 0.7mm, B (C277-B)

Works great in all my mechanical pencils. I much prefer the B softness. It's soft enough to make a bold mark, but hard enough to not break all the time. I personally think B is the best and this was a good value for it.

It appears harder, hence stronger, than regular lead. .7mm lead is better than .5mm lead for use on irregular/rough surfaces, and longer lasting on smoother surfaces.

I love this lead. I use it in a Pentel GraphGear1000. It's worth paying for. The only thing I wish I had done was gotten a 0.5 mm pencil, which is nothing against this lead because I would have 0.5 mm Ain Stein lead then too.Buy this lead!

I like the softness of the B grade, but this is a lot harder than the other. I’ll be going back to the Super Hi-Polymer Lead. (Both from Pentel.)

I've received this leads today and using it now. It doesn't break, strong and dark, smooth and easy to write with it. Very nice quality.

Today was the first day I used this lead in school & I was honestly excited to write things down because of how nice it felt. It just glides right across the paper and makes nice bold lines. If you're asking yourself "will pencil lead really make a difference?" Believe me, it does. Although it is a little more expensive than the regular cheap lead, it is definitely worth it.

The best leads there are out there. I use these extensively in my architectural work for sketching and notes. Smooth and solid-very high quality without loss from batch to batch.

why I did not purchase this before is beyond me!!! great product and works like a charm!!!

OK but not always easy to tell the difference between this and a HB lead - I'd place this at the harder end of 2B

These don’t fit the National Trust pencil. I have tried two sizes, both too small. Now the pencil is in the bin

It’s a second time I order it, the price is reasonable and it’s doing its job. I’m an architecture student and I use a lot of these. It is perfect for drawings, however it can get quite smudgy if touched by hand
