this product really works for sweet gum tree balls. was easy to assemble and easy to use. actually was enjoyable to use. the potential downside was some parts feels a bit flimsy. if someone is heavy handed or used a lot, I could see how this product would break. mine is still working like new and was able to pick up all the balls in the lawn this season.

I always get a sore back whenever I need to pick up the Sweetgum Balls that fall from my neighbors yard onto my grass. I end up crawling on my hands and knees for hours at a time. It is either that or step on them, which is not enjoyable. I can easily fill several 5 gallon buckets without covering all of my yard. However, with this pick up tool, I just go around poking. When the bristle gets full, a quick push clears them into my bucket. I can easily clear a wide area in short time.

2/1/25 Update: The company sent me the replacement part that broke, without me even asking. I'm very happy about that. I've replaced it and made sure to tighten the pole very well. Thank you!It really does pick up and hold a lot of sweet gumballs and is easy to use, but part of it broke on the first day. I think the problem is that middle section that you push down to release the items is a really brittle, cheap plastic and when the extended pole became loose, though I had hand tightened it a lot, when you pound it down on the ground the pole collapsed and the joint piece above it slammed into that part. A design flaw and cheap parts, but I still gave it three stars because it does work.AND, I'm a master with duct tape so I was able to mend that area just fine and resume using it. I didn't want to go through the hassle of having to return it since the same thing might happen again.

I like this better than the Garden Weasel because unloading sweet gum balls from tool is much faster and easier than it is with the Garden Weasel. I own both this one and a Garden Weasel.

Good while it lasted unfortunately only 1 1/2 years of only seasonal use.

Works well on Sweetgum balls!

Very unique product that is made in America. Works fairly well but often pinches my fingers when I empty the sweetgum balls out. There's tons in my yard so it takes quite awhile to make a dent in the amount. Overall a decent product.
