Holds up well with use and doesn't yup over.
I have had one of these bag holders in our other house for many years and it looks like new. So far, the new one that I purchased is working just fine. No tipping over or moving when you put bags in or take them out. This style bag holder is more expensive than wall mount designs, however we don't have the wall space for one in either of our houses, so this is best for us.

Good if you want to save space (or for a cleaner look). Otherwise, just use a decorative trash can for your bags.
I used to store my plastic bags in small trash cans, but this is admittedly neater and saves space. If you're not used to having stainless, be warned it shows fingerprints and requires constant cleaning. Another thing I don't like is the roughness of the edges on the openings. They won't cut you, but it does hurt if your drag your hand across them, which my toddler often does when she is helping me pack the bags away. I was only able to store about half of my plastic bag 'collection' into the bin, so I'll probably need at least one more. One last thing I want to point out: this isn't designed to store the thicker plastic bags that you get from bookstores/toy stores. You could fit them in, but they won't compress down very well and so the capacity of the bin will be less than is stated in its description.

Just ok, but probably about as good as you can get
This grocery bag holder looks nice, and does not take up a lot of space. But it is not the easiest to use. Even though I have small hands, I can barely reach in to grab a bag, and even then I can only reach the bags in the very front. Essentially all the bags that end up in the bottom of the holder, or towards the back, are inaccessible. And unless you've shoved it full of new grocery bags, it's hard to get bags back out. Particularly since I tend to use cloth bags whenever possible, I find that I don't have enough plastic bags to make this easy to use. That said, this is better than having the plastic bags all over the place, or (what I used to do) shoving the bags into another bag. At least now they are streamlined and neat.In the end, just so-so.

So much neater
I bought this off Amazon and have been very pleased. Unlike the last reviewer mine came assembled and there have been no problems. We have a dog and go through about 2-3 bags a day and can also collect quite a few from shopping and friends, the thing does hold a lot, also not quite sure of how many, but have stuffed it full--maybe 40+. But since we use it for our dog being too full or at capacity is never a problem for long.I haven't had much of a problem removing bags, if you put them in the round hole and remove from the larger opening it is pretty easy, only difficult when you start to run low and have to reach in to pull one out. I usually only get one at a time unless it is super full. The size is perfect for our corner table by the door and takes up so much less space than all our bags stuffed into one larger bag. I think it is well worth the money if you have a pet where plastic bags play a big part of clean-up and contribute to daily clutter.Update 2012: We still have this and works fine but we also got a really cheap Ikea plastic bag holder. [...]It can stick to the side of the fridge and holds as many (maybe more) bags in a smaller footprint. I would just go with the Ikea if I had to buy something again at this point.

we're trying to be greener
Handy for storing all those extra plastic grocery bags. Takes up some counter/shelf space; there's a wall-mounted style if that's your preference. Easy to fill and retrieve bags. Sturdy construction means you can really stuff and compress the bags into this holder. And it has a sleek modern look too - it evens looks good displayed on the counter. We previously used a "SacSoc" which was adequate for the purpose, but I wasn't a huge fan of the SacSoc - the elastic wore out, and the available patterns were not to my preference. (The SacSoc is more space conscious, though - so we use the SacSoc in our camper trailer instead.)

Fits great!
I have one of those small it-really-shouldn't-be-a-cabinet-but-we-don't-want-to-waste-the-space cabinets next to my fridge. This fits perfectly in there. I remember when I purchased this from Amazon, people were complaining about not only one bag being dispensed at a time. I'm not sure how they were using it, but I took advice from another review and wrapped the bag around my fingers before stuffing it in. No problems. One bag. It looks a lot better and is much more organized than a bag of bags.

really helped clean up my mess of bags
This is really nice and compact and helped clean up my mess of bags and it really is a great product and stores a lot of bags. I used to have a whole kitchen trash bag full of bags and they all fit in here and saved a ton of space. I have two minor concerns though... First one - when you use your fingers to push a bag into it through that top hole, the inside edge of that hole is kinda sharp. Second thing is, it's harder to choose what type of bag you want (if you need one bigger or smaller) when pulling it from the slot - you just have to keep trying until you get the right size. But I guess that goes for any bag dispenser ...

Love it! Just what we were looking for.
I love this product! It's well made and it looks nice. It's small so we were able to put it under our kitchen sink which is what we wanted. Its holds an efficient number of bags which is great because we tend to hoard too many. I like the fact that it stands upright by its self. A lot of the other products I looked at had to be mounted on a wall. That wouldn't have worked for us because we live in an apartment and try to avoid putting any extra holes in the wall. I have nothing negative to say about this product. I would highly recommend this product to help keep your unruly shopping bags in check!

Stylish and practical
Like most items from th Simple Human range, the carrier bag holder is stylish. It's much nicer than the fabric holders as it can nearly stand in the corner and doesn't take up much space. The brushed metal allows it to fit in with most places. It suits normal carrier bags better than 'bags-for-life' although if folded neatly, they can also be placed inside for storage. I've been using for a year now and have not run out of space. It keeps my carrier bags organised.

Disappointing
As with most SimpleHuman products, this looks great, but it is let down by poor execution. As others have noted, it is simply too light and removing a bag requires two hands. Not a huge problem, admittedly, but it does annoy every single time you try and use it. The stated capacity is also a tad optimistic - add in 50 bags and they will be jammed in so tight that even two hands may not be enough to allow you to extract one!

Not so Simple
This is ok in that it does the job, but it is one of the least successful SimpleHuman products I have, in that it isn't easy to extricate bags, especially if you store more than one size. In the product's defence, I have to say that mine is stored at ground level in a cupboard, so it's not particularly easy to access, but I don't think I'd bother again - I'd just use one of the bags in which to store the others!

Ideal
This item looks great next to other items that are black and steel. It holds more than enough bags for me. It is simple to use. My only gripe is that the holder could have been heavier, to prevent it moving about. I fixed this problem by filling a carrier bag with stones and placing this inside the holder. Now it doesn't move at all. They don't come much fussier than me!

Useful
Not rocket science- you shove the bag in the hole at the top and pull it out of the bottom (frankly I think the extra hole is a bit redundant). It fits nicely under my sink, but it would look stylish enough for your worktop with its steel sides. Happily I've cut down on my bag collection and I only need ones to line the kitchen and bathroom bins for free so the quoted 50 bag capacity is ample.
